i've been doing a lot of reading lately, but i still cannot fully understand it
what kind of equipments do i need to set up a 3200w room?
it'll be two 1000w lights and two 600w lights by the way.
i have been having a real hard time figuring this out.
i read some posts and saw some pictures of other peoples setups, but i do not know how to do it myself.
i know you need ac and fans to keep things from going up in flames...and different breakers and plugs for the wall....and...i have no idea...
please help me...i am so lost...

thank you so much

You need the bulbs, hoods, and ballasts for the lights. You'll want a centrifugal fan, size/cfm will all depend on what you are doing with it (how much ducting, if it is your room vent as well, etc). co2 or ventilation for the room. Usually an oscillating fan or two. Pots, soil, trays. Light hanging equipt, and vent ducting. timers for each light or bank of lights. 2x 30amp breakers should work, but you certainly aren't going to be running that all on a typical 15amp. reflective film/paint/sheeting. Possibly stuff to seal light leaks, etc... test kits or meters. nutes. There's a lot of little things, and of course if you're going hydro or anything other than just a straight soil, that is another list of equiptment.

i pretty much have all the other things down, just the lighting part is leaving me confused....
i honestly have no idea how the breakers and everything associated with that works...not to mention wiring...
thats the part i am most confused about....

Lets start with this....why 3200 watts? Do you already have these lights? Size of room? What kind of yields are you hoping to achieve? List goes on.

I want to help you, but you didn't give us much bro. I put in 2 years of research before I bought my first piece of equipment, and it wasn't hit and miss research either. Everyday atleast 20 mins, sometimes hours upon hours....literally. If 90% of what I read wasn't bullshit it wouldnt' of taken so long, but thats the internet for you.

If you are completely clueless on electrical, don't fuck with it, no one wants to hear about some guy burning his house down.

Hire an electrician to wire it up for you. Don't have to tell them what it's for, just tell him where you want it, and then after the job is done, build your grow room around their work.

volts x amps = watts

120 x A= 3200

A = 26.66amps, plus you dont want to be more than 80% of your load....60 amps is good since you will have fans...

3200w because thats the most i can use without becoming suspicious
i don't have the lights yet 'cause i'm still in the researching phase. but soon i will be starting so i want to get everything sorted out
size of room would be about 3m x 3m x 3m
i will hopefully be putting 30 plants in there. not sure yet. maybe less
and yes...i am completely clueless on electrical....everything i read is always so different...so i don't know what to do

may i suggest 220V for your lights aircond. and heaters, everthing else is nuthin if you can get all thous 220 youll cut the amps in half. i also sugest a subpanle at the growroom and upgrading the house main utilit connnection to 200Amp and bring 60 amps to the grow room subpanle. u need at least a friend comitent in electicity if not.

my advice would be to grow just a few before investing so heavily into this hobby.

Make sure you can get a plant all the way to harvest before you have 30 costly mistakes.

If you are that lost you need to look around a bit more... Maybe start a small grow... If you have (2) 1000w and (2) 600 watt lights use one of the lights and mess around... It sounds like you have no experience in growing at all... I would recommend going small as you gain KNOWLEDGE...

Yeah, 3200 watts is a huge leap for a first timer. Not saying it can't be done, but after you drop 4-5gs into a setup like that and they all die, you'll end up hating yourself. Gotta crawl before you can walk in most cases, and you basically asked everyone to help you climb a mountain but you don't even know what shoes to bring. No offense bro, just trying to save you from an expensive disaster.

What country are you from, because that 3200 watt thing and not being suspicious is new to me. Stealing power, smell, loose lips, not having a med card and the rare fire is what turns suspicious into arrested, not a certain wattage being used.

oh this isn't my first grow.
i've done a few small ones before with 400w
end result wasn't very good...
thats why i want to move onto more lights
but i just don't know how the electrical works

Best advice is start small man, to go out and do a 3200w room with no experience in growing is like driving a car blindfolded, get yourself a 400w metal halide for vegging and a 600w hps for flower, youll also need 2 fans, 1 for intake and 1 for exhaust, youll also need a oscillating floor fan to keep air movement around the plant. do a solid single plant soil grow with that setup, once you have mastered that, step up to a bigger operation, however, your wasting your money and time thinking your going to step in to a big grow and yield big. dont fool yourself......save your money for now so once you have had the experience and been successful you have the funds to setup a bigger scale grow.

well since i'm putting down 30 plants hopefully i'll be able to get 5+p with 2400w above them
Dude, thats .93 grams PER WATT. It isn't going to happen on your first grow. Many guys have sealed setups with perfect conditions and blasting 1500ppm of co2 and don't hit a gram per watt. Seriously, you are setting yourself up for disappointment. Not trying to piss you off bro, just being honest.

You can't just wake up one day and decide to become a "weed baron" and kick out yields like a seasoned grower. Expect half a gram a watt if you have nothing go wrong, which puts you in the 2.5-3lb range. Amount of plants and amount of lights are only a small part of what you need to do to get a gram per watt.

Again, it is doable, but stay level headed.

My theory on growing for new growers is do you best and never expect anything in return, and then you won't be disappointed but will learn alot along the way. If you are expecting a certain result you miss out on much of the learning experiance while dreaming away about what you think you are going to get.

yeah well we all think you should start small and respect the game, you are going to kill some ladies and thats not cool....

anyways pot a grow journal so we can see we told ya so!
