I have a 1K cool tube and an 8x4 tent, per square i'll be getting around around 3900 lumens, i'm trying to do around 10 or 12 plants (clones), even though my budget is coming to a close i've been considering getting a light rail, would this be advisable? I'm leaning towards yes...

I'll also have a 6" inline and carbon filter (i live above my landlord:mrgreen:), which will be moving plenty of cfm's
plants are going into 3 gallon pots in soil (roots organic + fox farm/ocean mixed) and plan on UB'ing them, drawing up screen designs as well

non-related nutrient question: Is it better to mix and match products? or better to go with a line of products.. i.e. all fox farm product or say flora nova and advanced nutrients?

sorry for the noob q's

i just figured out after purchasing a light rail that it does not work Well with ventilation if you have plenty of room for exhaust tube slack and the right rig for support it may work..i found that the rail sucked for me..i like to use one nute line for the main but there are other brands u have to purchase at times that your particular brand doesnt carry..like i use gernal hydroponics but puy botanicare cal mag and sometimes other sugar supplements depending on strain..also 10 - 12 clones in 3 gallon pots might get too big

thnx, supporting the movement does seem challenging, i may just do 8 clones because of the space, thanx for the tips!

the 3900lumens/ft are ok for vegging, for flowering however you would need 5000/ft if you wana cover the whole room with flowrin canopy you would need 1600w or you could shrink the flowring to a 4x5 or so

For the nutrient stuff, I think you can make an argument in either direction for whether to use all of the same nutrient.

I think it's easier to use the same nutrient since you only have to worry about reading the labels to see how the line is supposed to work together. If you use other products from other lineups, it seems like you have to play with the amounts more since it's not clear how they will (or will not) work together.

That said, I'm sure that anyone who has the patience to try things out and screw up can find a mix and match lineup that would work.

I started with the Advanced Nutrients lineup and then really got into their bundle thing. The Hobbyist bundle has worked for me and I'm moving up to a new bundle this year since I seem to have figured things out.

Right now, I'm using:

Sensi A&B
Voodoo Juice
B-52
Big Bud
Final Phase
Bud Candy

It's easy enough to use and works well with the clones I have.

But see what works for you. I think going with one lineup is the easiest for beginners, honestly.
