In my humble opinion, none. The Advanced Nutrient Grow A & B work great ... but there are other ways, much simpler and cheaper ways to go other than AN. There is so much hype involved in growing this simple weed we call pot, it isn't even funny. And ... AN is taking advantage of that fact in spades.WAZZZZZUP ! ! !
What advanced nutrients should I use. I've seen a lot but don't really know what will work best.
THANKS!
so what do you use? what about Gen. Hydo. (3 part flora series)? thats what im looking into. i want something concentrated and cheap and has both pri and sec nutes. you know a complete hydro nute. any suggestion for use noobs on a tight budget? thanks. hey cool thanks alot ViRedd! you just saved me some $! it seems to me like ill be giving them a NPK of 5-10-10 (if im not mistaken)all the time thenIf you want to go the cheapest way, use General Hydophonics ... but don't buy all three bottles. Just buy the Micro and the Bloom. Here's the ratios:
Vegging: 5ml Micro 10ml Bloom. (ml per gallon of water)
Flowering: 8ml Micro 16ml Bloom. (ml per gallon of water)
If you see any yellowing of the leaves add a quarter teaspoon of Epsom Salts per gallon of water.
Notice that the nute ratio is 2 to 1. Keep it that way all the way through the grow. For example, if you are putting small, rooted plants or cuttings into the hydro unit, you would want to go with something like 2.5ml Micro and 5ml Bloom in order to not burn the young plants.
So, run down to the hydro store and pick up a quart of Micro and a quart of Bloom. That would be the brown liquid and the red liquid. Then go to the drug store and buy a box of Epsom Salts for a dollar or so and your good to go.
And don't worry about the plants not getting enough of anything because you've left out the third bottle ... the green GH "grow." With the ratios I've given you ... the plants will want for nothing.
Good luck ...

This bio bloom what is [npk] and do you use it with water[hydroponicly] or [soiless] soil? i'm using pro mix soil, but i'm always looking for just the right formula?i'm using 20-20-20 in veg and 0-50-30 [monster bloom ] for bloom it's working for me but like i said thiere's ALWAYS room for improvent.rock on budare you in vegg or 12/12?.
i use terra vegga for vegg, and bio bloom for 12/12.
they are lots of nutes, but make sure you get the right ones, not m.grow.
Epsom Salt (Magnesium Sulfate)hey cool thanks alot ViRedd! you just saved me some $! it seems to me like ill be giving them a NPK of 5-10-10 (if im not mistaken)all the time then
ok one more question if you dont mind, whats the epsom salt for?
i was reading another thread and someone had a hydro problem-i think it looked like a toxic salt buildup- and the guy said it was the spsom salt. so what is it good for? im thinking it has some nitrogen in it? and yellowing is nitrogen deffincency(?) but im not going by what i think because im new and...... well i suck God bless everyone
you the man ViRedd. thanks alot. im getting better at "learning to roll" and you just helped i will pick a box next time i go to a store where i saw that stuff. also i got some of that GH coming, i ended up getting the third part jsut because it would have been the same price as getting the other two. wish me luck! God bless everyone!Epsom Salt (Magnesium Sulfate)
Epsom Salt is a source of magnesium that is essential to plant development. Magnesium is required by plants to produce chlorophyll. Leaf yellowing is the deficiency symptom.
Unique Features:
Helps plants absorb phosphorous
Increases a plant's natural resistance to disease
Absorbed by both the leaves and the roots
