It's not an old piece - that is what they look like, no real moving parts, no electronics to fail ... simplicity at its best.

Works very well, extremely discrete ... can smoke anywhere, anytime - no flame, no smoke and no "obvious" smell. Load it up and pop it in your pocket for "tokin on the trot".

can you explain how this works?
herb is in bowl, battery is inserted, battery provides power to make heat, heat vaporizes the cannabis in the bowl and is the inhaled..

I was thinking about one, but it's really steep for what it is. I will just be making brownies :( I think

a bong burns weed, a vaporizer heats it until the 'mind altering' properties are released

a vaporizer is more efficent, and smoother (especially in a bag)

You don't NEED one, but it COULD be nice for vaporizing in public, when you can't carry a bong around and you want to conserve weed.

I use a volcano, I love it. It's a big ol' expensive vaporizer but it gets me veryy high and I haven't had ONE issue with it... the thing with the volcano is you have to plug it in, the appeal of the "magic flight" is that you can go almost anywhere with it

They are expensive for what they are, but included with the "kit" is a battery charger and 2 heavy duty rechargable batteries, pity you can't buy one without the charger though.

As for how they work ...

You pivot/slide/rotate the acrylic cover to open the herb chamber.
Fill with ground bud and close the cover.
Insert the battery and press home to complete the electric circuit (which heats the mesh screen in the herb chamber).
Wait about 4 or 5 seconds for buds to start to give off vapor - then inhale slowly.
Smooth as silk.

is it like breathing air? are you feeling the taste?
most vaporizers i've seen are way too expensive.. are they really worth it?

Just like inhaling herb flavoured air :-) what you don't taste is the burning vegetable matter or the lung tissue when you cough your guts up.

I think they are worth the price as I can use it at home or out and about, can even smoke while walking down a crowded street.

You get about 5 minutes heating time from a fully charged battery which is far more time than is needed to get totally shit-faced many times over, and if you want topass it round and party you just have a few batteries available.

The first vape I bought was the 'top of the line' volcano. Set me back $600. I figured if I dropped 100 on a shitty vape that didn't work I would just in the end pay MORE for the 'top of the line'

BUUUT I love the thing, way better than smoking. It tastes like the essence of weed. Very smooth, tastes JUST like what the weed smells like.

Also uses your weed MUCH more efficiently, making you get a lot higher off less weed.

There are other options besides top of the line, PM a user named, 'poplars' without the quotes. He swears by something that costs like half as much as a volcano.

I've probably ran like 300gs through this fucking thing though and it made it feel like 600g's

So in my mind, for something you use EVERY day, that doesn't brake the volcano is worth it.. not so true in other peoples minds for their own reasons though. I just wanted to say I'm happy I bought it.

I may end up buying one of these, its between this and the silver surfer. I've had a hotbox and a volcano, I really loved the hotbox used it daily, then got the volcano, and it is the best bag vaporizer. I ended up selling both the hotbox much earlier then the volcano, because I never used the volcano when I bought my toro disc to disc "water pipe" with disc toro trashcatcher, smoothest hitting device I've used yet. I just want a vaporizer to hit before bed and on a rainy day and I think the silver surfer would be great, but the magic flight box is probably just as good for half the price.

I sold it to a good friend and coworker, because I knew he'd use it more then me, but we still hang out enough that I can rip it almost daily. It was a really tough choice, but I kind of feel bad for a piece that was once my favorite and that I use a lot less now. This way I know its still being used and taken care of very well

my buddy has one of these things, they would be ideal if you want to vape on the go, as they are very small. You can stick them in your pocket filled with bud, and then pull it out and insert the battery and rip. It is pretty cool. He said it was 100 and a lifetime warranty. They are pretty cool.

To clarify, this thing is far from a cheap, shitty vape. At the same time, it is a good price for what you get: portable, tastes good, and LIFETIME WARRANTY. How many vapes, or any electronics for that matter, have a lifetime warranty where they will replace the thing no quesitons asked if something goes wrong for any reason. It will also pay for itself with how much herb you conserve. A tiny pack lasts 20 min+

As a side not, I like to hit it in "native mode," i.e. without the straw extension. I think it hits slightly better. Plus, you can conceal the entire unit, take a hit, and it just looks like you're blowing into your hands or something. Also, no smell at all (thinking.... vap in the movie theater???)

There's a great vaporpedia entry (it's like wikipedia) on the magic flight with more info than you'd ever need to know about it.

I just had a read of the vaporpedia entry and it was very informative, especially the Warranty information ...

Warranty

What is the Magic-Flight Launch Box warranty?

Magic-Flight grants to all purchasers of the Launch Box a lifetime functional warranty for all Box units. They will replace defective or damaged Launch Boxes free of charge. For warranty service, send a description of the problem (preferably with picture) along with your serial number to [email protected].
Is the warranty transferable?

Yes. The warranty applies to whomever is the current owner/user of the Box.
Will Magic-Flight honor the warranty even if I break the Box through my own stupidity?

Yes they will.
So with this warranty, if my Box breaks a year from now, the warranty will still cover it? What if it breaks 20 years from now?

Yes, they really do mean it--if you contact Magic-Flight in 20 years with a broken Box, they will issue a replacement. The standard assumptions apply--that they still exist, etc. Contacting Magic-Flight by email is probably the most reliable means. They try to answer everything within one business day.
Will the warranty be honored if I purchase through an Ebay seller?

Yes it will; however, it is especially helpful if people let us know where they bought the Box and what serial number they have, even if they have had no problems with their unit. If you elect to buy from Ebay, please let us know the details via email--the feedback is both important and helpful.

I got one and love it. Go on amazon and you can find one for about $85. The price isn't steep at all imo. You get a portable vape for under a $100 with a life time warranty, plus it immediately produces vapor which I've never seen any vape do
