Ok so were having a really bad winter storm here in my nook of the world, today it got so bad the power actually went out a couple times, luckily i have my babies 'on' during the nights...but that being said, im only 10 days from harvest, could a power outage-caused extra dark cycle hurt my sweet sweet girls???

Yup your fine. I have power out all the time, my 400 digi did not like it at all, my 600digi ran fine and all my regular 400 and 1000 were fine. Hot starts are hard on the equipment and bulbs.

i think you'll be fine.

in my opinion power (light) is important but in the right situations it cant really hurt...

ie. leaving the lights on too long in veg = no problem

not enough light in veg = problem

power outage in flowering = no problem

timer failing and lights stay on in flower = problem.

your plants may suffer some slight stress but in flowering less light than you should have (less than 12 hrs on) is better than more.

you're not doing anything to confuse them between flower and veg...so biggie...you should only stress if it can revert them to veg (too much light) or if you want them in veg and they dont get enough light...

right right, thanks guys. i didnt think it would really HURT them too badly, but i needed to be sure, im a newb.and with the "countdown" starting today (10 days 9, 8, ect..) i dont want anything to go wrong. lol

if you're really worried then try finding a way to get light to them for as many hrs as possible... try opening the curtains or whatever to at least try and keep the light cycle on for as close to 12 hrs a day as you can. thats my opinion..

my power went out on me for a day on about 5 week into flower. i kept them lit up with a flash light and a few candles to keep her lit up a bit. it worked to help them stay on theri light schedule
