i have a question about cloning , FIMing , and topping

i was going to FIM in a week or two posibly but then i was thinking i should top it and then use the top i cut off to make a clone , you cant clone with the leaf branches can you , i mean you can but will it grow up ?

or should i fim it and take a clone from the new growth tops ? here are the most resent pics from my grow

so the here is the before and after these pics where taken 10 hours apart, Imo i think the nutes boosted them up and out a bitch load more

I haven't done it enough yet to be able to tell. My best clone was a little side branch that, bless her soul, took a direct hit from a falling light fixture. I panicked, grabbed it, threw it in a little dirt and she grew. Made me think I was a natural. Until I started TRYING to clone. Definitely an issue I'm going to keep in mind though come next cuttings!

i never had any luck with tops for clone material

I clone tops in a bubbler all the time with no problems, might as well try

Man after my own heart right there. Don't ever give up until it turns brown and shrivels. And even then, if there's a little green, there's a chance!

I've always heard you want to ta 2-3 nodes with your cutting.

thats what i was thinking . im thinking im going to need to fim it , its growing so short and bushy i wouldnt be able to get a good topping to use for cloning

1 growth point to continue new growth is all a cutting needs, you can turn branches into multiple clones with only 1 set of leaves.
