Strain: Santa Cruz Haze (
1970's - Haze Brothers - Santa Cruz Haze)
Sativa / Indica Hybrid (
Pure Sativa)
Growth: Greenhouse (
or Outdoor)
Nutes: Organic (
Speculation)
Yield: Unsure
Bag Appeal: 9.75/10.00
This is some of the more exceptionally beautiful greenhouse/outdoor herb I have seen to date! In no
way is it overly resin coated like indoor weed, but on some spots of the bud the resin is so abundant
that the bud appears to be white! The array of colors in this bud remind me somewhat of woodland
camouflage, only much more amazing.
Note:
I have heard rumor that Santa Cruz Haze and Black Haze are synonymous, although, I am unsure of this.
Fragrance:
This one has a somewhat traditional Haze aroma, but with a little twist. There is a hazy-herbal mix that I
can not quite pinpoint entirely, but nonetheless, is absolutely amazing! After the general Hazy aroma
floods your olfactory senses, an extremely pleasant Mangoish-Starfruitty undertone adds a beautiful,
Tropically-sweet aroma to this already amazing mix! A noticeable hint of a mix between Green and
Black Pepper compliments the Haze / Tropical Fruit mix perfectly! And finally, to top it off, there is a
noticeable pleasant, Citrussy-Sour nuance that with some help from a friend, was able to be determined
as being Lemongrass.

The flavor is definitely unique, yet somewhat indescribable as well. It is something like the fragrance, although
a bit less herbal, with an ever so slight nuance of peach (
or something close, it is rather faint). The flavor
is rather pleasant to begin with, but amazing out of papers! (

The High:
The main reason this smoke report has taken so long is because of this section! This high is impossible
to describe if attempting to capture even a fraction of its depth. Even though I am very familiar with this
strain, as it has been headstash for a while now, it is still difficult to conjure up a proper description.
This strain is one of those legendary strains that you only read about from the '60's - 70's! It is clearly and
distinctly purely sativa, but launches you so far out there that it induces comatose-like "couch lock". This
is a strain that can knock down even the lifelong oldschool smokers, as I have seen on numerous occasion
now!
Smoking it early in the day, with a cup of coffee, or in small amounts leads to a pleasantly upbeat, mood-
lifting, semi-euphoric, focused high. As a night time smoke, or in anything other than minute amounts, the
hazey effects are extremely noticeable! If you can manage to write, or think for that matter, the high is
extremely creative and somewhat introspective with a psychedelic vibration to nearly everything. It is not
particularly an energetic high, but it is stimulating enough to keep you awake and sometimes focused. This
is an extremely unique, one of a kind high that is unparallelled by any modern "Haze". The high is of a
medium to long duration, so if you have anything at all on the agenda, keep the intake to a minimum or
you will easily be rescheduling events!
Medical Value: * NEW *
ADD/ ADHD -
To the best of my knowledge I do not have ADD nor ADHD, but I could see small dosages of this strain helping
anyone looking for an alternative medication to dangerous prescription stimulants! I find that this strain allows
me to focus extremely well, even somewhat in large dosages.
Insomnia -
Awkwardly enough, for a Pure Sativa, sleep comes extremely easy after being thrown into the Haze-
Trance this strain can produce. I find it is very easy to relax enough to fall asleep and stay asleep. I
have experienced nights where I have slept 10+ hours after even a moderate intake of this strain!
Headaches / Migraines -
I find on low dosages this strain is very effective at alleviating headaches without producing an overly
potent high.
I have had migraines, clinically diagnosed, for many years without much relief from modern medication
(
which was actually my inspiration to utilize cannabis medicinally).. this strain is simply so potent that if
using any sort of smoking device other than a bowl or joint, even some of the more brutal migraines will
succumb!
Pain / Muscle Tension /Joint Pain -
I find this strain is extremely efficient at relieving any sort of pain and most forms of muscle tension. Part
of the uniqueness of this Haze is the semi-narcotic body tingle that comes along with the expanding
mental high.
Nausea -
Definitely effective at alleviating nausea.
Anxiety -
I am overly impressed with this strain in this category! Being a pure sativa of this potency I was expecting
it to potentially cause anxiety.. on the contrary, this is one of the best anxiolytics I have come across. (
which
includes prescription anxiolytics)
Depression -
Although I am generally a very optimistic and happy person, I find this strain to be a definite mood-lifter. I
would not necessary say it produces euphoria, but I would not say it is far off!
Appetite -
This is definitely suiting for an appetite stimulant as well, which can occasionally be difficult after ingesting
large amounts.. eating through an entire fridge, or simply being too high to make it there, both sound entirely
plausible to me.
This is probably my favorite smoke, at least for the time being. The overall effects are legendary, whether
taken from a fully medicinal point of view or from a fully recreational point of view (
or anywhere in between).
I recommend that if anyone has access to this strain to pick it up immediately! You will thank me, I promise!
