Since I was 7 years old I've showed signs of depression and when I was 14 I was put on 3 medications. This later got bumped to 5 and for a short period I was on 6. Just to list them for you guys : Zoloft, Risperdal, Welbutrin, Aderol, Lithium, and Ridilin. I quit them all when I found pot, because it made me feel so much better and I didn't feel as stupid or strung out anymore.

I had it all going for me until my mom said that she wouldn't let me get my license until I passed a drug test. I spoke to her about smoking and she was fine with it. My Step-Dad even suggested it. It was working great! But now I can't smoke anymore.

I try to do research to find the facts and there are NONE. Trust me I know how to use google. Half of the results are either teen awareness that use exaggerations or fox news and the feds trying to validate their drug war. The other half are people who smoke daily and try to say that its good for you when their only reasoning is that they had done it themselves.

I've smoked for 3 years and started heavily in July, I didn't feel anymore dumb I felt happier then ever, I was meeting new friends (not drug dealers) and then this all ends when my mom starts pms'ing. I'm going to be 18 in a few months and I can't wait through all of this shit. I've always thought of people speaking poorly of pot their own ignorance but maybe they are right...

Last weekend I only smoked like a hit of res. My friends were all smoking and Me being one of the biggest potheads there felt like shit. So I've been doing synthetic opiates.

whats your take?

I'm upset now that can be explained by my withdrawls and my addiction
My family life is falling apart from the drug, just like the article on abovetheinfluence.com titled "MythBusters" said
I'm stupid and I failed the second quarter of my Physics class! explained by the brain damage caused by the drug

Then again, since I stopped smoking so much my grades have dropped
I didn't smoke for 3 weeks then I shared a joint with my friends then the week after that I smoked a tiny bit of res. Opposed to smoking about a gram everyday which is what I was doing summer/Fall

I apologize Sr. Verde, I may not post much (In fear of my honesty leaking my age) but I spend hours daily on this site. I read your cannabutter article too. This site is actually a big part of my life as sad as that sounds. I love weed and I use it medicinally, I plead that you don't ban me because me and my friends use this site for grow references. Find it somewhere deep down in your heart to spare this child.

I've read some dumb nooby shit on this site, I don't want to seem like one of those guys. And yes I have googled that topic, as I stated in my thread starting post. As I said earlier there is no factual basis of study, at least that I can trust.
If you went through the first 5 links you would have found Erowid.. which is a very reliable website that you can find a lot of citations on..

It would be cool to hear some info from that book

Many of the sites condemning marijuana use have citations also many leading to NIDA (National Institute on Drug Abuse)

I hate being a kid more than anything
They call them the golden years, I think I'd rather have rights.

Read between the lines

Give me an example of a citation that is incorrect on one of those sites

You HAVE rights, you just can't tell anyone about them or your fucked ;)

Smoking weed isn't legal anyways, you can get in deep shit with that as well as your parents.. If it helps, just don't tell them about it, and tell them that you just don't want to take your meds.. They don't have to know until you move out.. And if you get caught with something make it seem like a every once in awhile thing just to keep your sanity..

I don't get it. You know how cannabis affects you personally. From my point of view, it sounds like it helps a lot. But now you doubt it because some website says it's giving you brain damage? You want to know if it's good or bad? I think you already know...
