I got tired of the stretched plants from them. I would often have to raise then 4 inches every day to keep plants from growing right into them and burning. Finally went to hps and just don't grow in summer because of heat. I get more now from 3 grows with hps than I ever did in 4 grows with T5s.

I'm in a REAL small closet where heat from an HID would be a major problem. I have two plants that are bushy as fuck and aren't stretching. The others though.... I gave them to much nitrogen. Also, I am using bag seed for now until my package arrives from attitude. Then we are not messing around. right now it's all experimentation. The two plants have just got to be female for my sanity and if they are they will be NICCCCCCCE

Yes. I am experimenting with straight growing, pruning, topping methods i.e. (FIM, top and supercrop and will ONLY do supercrop from now on. IT WORKS), pH levels, cloning, seed starting. Light distances too. I switched over from a harsh 30-10-10 fert. to a real nice botanicare CS17 set of ferts. They are nice and mild so it's a bit more forgiving. Micronutes are helping.

Questions for your opinion.
1.
I am now going to use a rich soil with worm castings and guano and the guy at the shop said that it should be enough nutrient for about 2-4 weeks. Leave it or touch with a mild fert. solution?
2. What is the BEST or most reliable way to start GOOD seed?

1.leave it if you see yellowing or something leading to lck of nutes add some.
2.I start my seeds in a cup of water when the tap root shows then i plce it in the medium(rockwool, rapid rooter, cup of soil) and under cfls.since im using my hps to flower right now.
