my first LED grow

only have a picture of the bucket and light. idk what strain i wanna grow, though am wanting a purp strain for fun, but jorge recently said hindu skunk was a new favorite, so idk. no nutes but will prolly get tomorrow.

got a 90w EGL UFO from ecogroLED, and picked up a 2 gallon bucket and double outlet air pump and a big disc airstone from a friend that was moving to bigger buckets for her moms.

done lots of soil and i have a coral aquarium so i know about pH and PPM and stuff, but what are good nutes, does anybody have nutes recommendation?

i hit up the hydro shop and picked up general hydro nutrients since they were cheap and this is a first time doing hydro. my friend gave me some clay balls to use in the pot. i am going to go with granddaddy purp but the dispensary that had the good clones for cheap ran out so i have to wait another week to get fresh clones guess ill update then.

Ya I been lazt ain't done nothing but work work work. I got the clone finally. Looks like garbage but it was cheap so get what you pay for.

I did see some of those youtube videos of LED versus HPS, and i think i see the problem, they're vegging for too long with the LED and so it cant penetrate. they go for like a month and two weeks is what i figure before flower.

so week 1 over. i didn't get much growth. the LED panel made lots of algae grow in my white bucket (no penetration, huh) and so i've had to clean the whole thing and cover with mylar. the pH was messed up, so no surprise theres some burn on the leaves. maybe next week will look better. roots look awesome minus the bit of algae still left on them from the wash.

sorry i'm a slacker. work kicked my ass bad and i have had time to just look at my baby, give her stuff and sleep.

things are calm now so an update. ph fix was the trick, she's slammin now.

she's nice and fat! i'm gonna flower her tonight.

two weeks of 12/12 and hairs are showing finally, so now is true flowering yes?

what lights are you using?

1x 120Watt Quad Band LED. GrowFlux is the vendor.

I have my light about 1 foot above the canopy.

yea i went longer than i expected!!!!! i wanted to only go two weeks but i had ph probs.

so it went a full month total. hope i do better than that one youtube video 90w led got 31g versus 400w hps getting 93g it makes sense that 270w led would do the same as 400w hps with less heat if that was all done the same.

i want at least 45g from my plant tho gdp isnt that good of a yielder.

she still looks crummy from that bad oxy and ph prob but she has been getting fatter so all looks aight
