LOL @ flame wars. We're cool dude. It is scary because at some point, they will figure it out. Hopefuly at that point, with the way things are going, there won't be a need for it. I'm pretty confident that pot will be somewhat legal in the not so distant future.

Yea, the police could make bust after bust after bust, but if it doesn't do much to reduce the problem, they'll still take flak from the public & politicians..
And Bryant you have some paranoid friends, I assumed the paranoia would just cause ppl to spread things out, lessening yield potential due to time constraints, or perhaps choose not to bother from the start.. But to rip out crops?? Wouldn't it be ironic if they got busted doing that??

And you know I really do think large enough plots could be noticed from a greater distance if a long wave detector was used when humidity was low.. Not because of any specific signature, but by pattern contrasted against nature.. If this does work, police could widen their flight paths, and fly higher, covering more area in search of career making busts.. Ironically this could lessen risk to the personal/friends&family crops..

Hello everybody I know this thread is old hope I get a response what about if your not exchusting out with cool tubes ? I have a sealed tent 10x10 in a 20x18 bedroom I run a window ac attach to the tent not in a window or sleeve. My setup is 10x10 sealed tent with 2 1000 watts with co 2 want to expand to 4 1000 in the near future or 6 600 watt. You guy think I'll be fine or no thanks for the reply
that's a lot of electricity to be pulling. it may raise eyebrows with the utility company who may tell the cops...
in case you get a knock and talk from cops you need a good excuse. you're a gamer, and run 6-7 pc's at any given time. each pc pulls at least 750 watts....
that's why you pay so much money in electricity, world of warcraft....

You should be golden. FLIR cannot see through walls. It only reads surface temps. Unless you are rocking like 10,000 watts and have shitty insulation you should be all good. Stay safe.

why are you even growing in a shed with no insolation??.....just seems like your already screwing up and you havent even started yet......Growing in a shed outside is about the hardest way of growing i could think of, you'd need filters and heaters and A/c's an humidifers all just to control the envirement and if you cant even get it togeather enough to insulate i find it hard to believe you will do everything else i just mentioned above... im just saying better to do it right then do it wrong have a poor yield and release you should have done it right the first time...well now you have no exuses because we are all telling you what needs to be done so if you dont do it you have failed, do to no fault but your own...If you cant afford to do what needs to be done then you cant afford grow in a shed outside..
If you say well its not going to be inlustated and im not going to do any of that stuff well then you have already lost and theres not point in the thread in the first place....
why are you worryed about FLIR but your not worryed about the most basic of the basic ?? get your shed inlulated for christ sakes this is a no brainer

Youre biggest prob would be trying to keep your room at 77 degree.
4 x 600w in cool tubes maybe, with an inline fan for two like this pic using 2 x 1000w and one fan.
Venting into your house is ok during winter, but in summer that air will heat your house up something bigtime (4 x 600w). Pushing the heat from the cooltubes under the floor would be the best, if there is a cavity under there. Or into the roof if you have to.
If you do vent into your house I would suggest you also have an extractor fan at the other end of your house pulling used air out. Doesnt have to be a big fan like what you would need in a grow room, youre not dealing with smell, just keeping that air in your house moving.
The air gap between your grow room and the walls will dissipate any potential hot spots on the outside walls if you are concerned about FLIR.
Just remember, FLIR sees the infrared heat signature of the outside wall of your house.
You could also put a temperature gauge in the room outside the panda box grow area too, and watch them, you would want to keep them down to a reason level, and you should be fine. Heat buildup outside your grow box will make it harder for you to keep temps in your grow room down during hot summer days.
Im sure you also know how to vent out, just thoughts running through my head about your plans.

hey i have a question about flir, if someone to grow in a unfinished basement, which have concrete walls in it, if they were to grow, using the concrete as walls, would flir be able to penetrate through the basement? I would think not, but what do you think? just like some grow room in this video ..

it only picks up surface temps outside house and if u are in usa it is illegal to use flir without warrant and if the got a warratn u r cooked already
