Thanks - Athena really caught me off-guard and I'm stressing what she's going to do as far as production with being tied down so much. Isis is pretty much an afterthought now so I'm unsure how she'll end up. Her buds still look to be developing on par though, so I think she'll end up still being worthwhile all things considered.

Going to stagger harvesting and hopefully give her a little more time at the end to make up for things as much as possible. Don't know what else to do with her... just hope flowering speeds up at some point with Athena and she stops stretching. Every time I think she's done she hits another spurt... wish I knew what was making the difference between the growth of the two plants.

lol. I was in the same boat a week ago and ended up just moving to a larger room If you're going to have a problem, plants being too large is probably the one to have!

I think next grow I'll be running three buckets in the tent but with a really short veg this time. I've already got two other different plants planned for the next grow (from seeds) - but would really like to see Athena again as well (just smaller)... there's just never enough space is there? lol

Flowering is going to take longer than I originally thought with them but it's progressing (side meristem):

But at least it's just a bend and not a break - the meristem turned up to the light within a couple of hours and are more where it came from anyway so not going to stress it.

Just a quick random picture from yesterday. Lots of little buds everywhere:



And just now starting to see trichomes on the leaves:



Oh and forgot to add I trimmed off some new little branches that were just starting to grow out at the bottom of Athena. Some of the leaves on the little branches had some trichomes visible on them so being in an uppity mood, I microwave dried them threw them in a bowl... and got a slight but unignorable head buzz w/ a strong case of munchies from smoking just some of little underdeveloped leaves. Need to wait about 3-4 more weeks to try a real sample, but I was surprised and it bodes well for the outcome even if yield is low.

Also wanted to add the smell that wafts out of the tent when I open it has changed from that raw plant smell to include what I can only describe as over-ripe mangos and a can't-really-describe spicy smell. Almost like a fermented fruit smell... I like it.

TAO I thought we agreed no more smoking till our plants were done??? LOL I am back and ready to get in full force. I am happy to see nice little bud heads popping. Used an SLR camera that sometimes deals with the HPS light better:

This was the view when I opened the right half of the tent:

Most of this is Athena from the left side of the tent, a few of the branches lower right of the picture belong to Isis.


The canopy is filled w/ bud sites:

My guestimate is they will run about 7 more weeks before done (~10-12 week total under 12/12). Trichomes are starting to show up even on big fan leaves... they are going to be good for hash.

Damn bro they are looking so nice. I think thats the 1st time I have seen them with some of their original color. Beautiful and oh sooooooo green. I guess since Flowering Athena's Sativa DOm side really showed....LOL I am sure you will need to add some time of Flowering to finish up those 2 beautiful plants. I wish I had Smell-A-CPU so I can inhale those rich fruity sensations of sativa smell Athena and Isis are giving off. Nice!!!

Thanks for the encouragement BKB. Yeah definitely a bit of Haze coming out - hope they get really frosty too though. I'd be stoked to have hashy plants with a bit of an up mixed in to the effect.

I'll update tonight - not a lot going on in there except for more trichomes... kind of disappointing but I'm probably just being impatient.

I ran out of PBP and I'm short on funds so I bought GH Maxibloom today (dry) instead out of necessity... I'm going to change out the buckets tonight and switch them over to the Maxibloom for the rest of flowering.

Maybe her sativa side is in the flowering stages. May take long but I am sure they will bud fine!!! I am happy your back! I am in the same boat as far as running out of nutes. I have maybe enough for two more feeding of my Big Bloom, I dont want to buy another one cause I want a different lineup but I might have to because I dont want to switch up at the end of flowering. Oh well I will see. Cant wait to see Athena and Isis, I missed them babies!!!! How is your Hempy Grow going? Is that still alive and well? Clones doing good? Cant wait to see some pics.

Athena is once again touching the light fixture - this is a lateral branch off a meristem that was pulled down earlier:



...so I LST'ed her back down again tonight. This is a picture of the madness that is Athena - taken right after I got her tied down again:



If not for the tent and being tied down I would guess she'd easily be 5' wide and about 8' to 9' tall. Isis isn't looking so good at all. She has about 3 meristems still high enough to get light but the rest are looking bad. Poor girl.

And just for size perspective, here's a meristem that I'm pulling out from the side of the tent:



Athena and Isis were switched over to GH MaxiBloom (dry) with the last reservoir changes: Athena 5grams/gallon on 22Dec and Isis 5grams/gallon on 23Dec. Will increase to 7grams/gallon upon next reservoir change.

Yeah my little seedling is still rocking it out - looks a bit rough from some neglect and abuse but it will be fine... if I don't keep forgetting about it anyway. Both the mothers are doing good. The first clone is already due for another trimming (grew into the light) and I just topped the other clone down to the first two branches and it's recovering fine. Will post some pics of them tomorrow or later tonight.

Goodness you are going to have some bud bro.....I just hope Isis turns out ok for you but Athena is looking huge and sweet. You will have some serious hash making materials when your done, do you plan on making hash?

I won't do too bad with yield, all the little bud sites in the top 16 cubic feet of canopy (2' of depth) alone will add up. Still hoping the colas will start thickening up more...

I'm glad it looks like the switchover to a different nutrient mix didn't seem to phase Athena. I'm not stressing how Isis is going to do - she's pretty much written off at this point... but if she does end up yielding anything: bonus! lol

I'll probably just press kief but I'm thinking I might try making a small amount of honey oil this time to expand the horizons some (budget willing).

Athena has the canopy filled with buds like this:



Not much new happening - tried a sample on Christmas day and it was good (don't judge me lol). Very sativa-like at first but a lot of indica heaviness/body to the effect later on. Hard hitting but creeping onset that lasted a long time (4-5 hours but I have low tolerance right now). A quarter bowl was all it took for me to get ripped and forget to take more hits...

I think Athena is an exceptional plant, just need to grow her better next time. Oh and I ended up removing most of the lower growth from Isis due to being blocked out by Athena - as far as I can tell Isis only has about 3 meristems of any substance in the canopy at this point. It's almost literally all Athena in there now.

I salute you for smoking a sample of your created strain! AWESOME! I am still hoping Isis will do something for you! How big is Athena grow chamber? 5 Gallons?
