hello all, i need to pick a light setup. i have 2 699watt light systems and i dont want to buy a 1000w light. can i put both 600watt lights in a 4x4 tent with a 740cfm 8inch fan pulling air from outside the tent? and another fan on a filther? with this setuo will i be able to run a co2 system? the fan on the filther will be a 400cfm 6inch with a controler. all help is needed seeds will be here next week need to get ready

I think 1 1000w would be better than 2 600w. The 600's put out alot of heat. I have one for flowering and i have 8 inch fans for intake and exhaust and im having some serious heat issues. I dont have a cooltube tho so thats my next purchase. Are you going to have a cooltube or water cooled llights?

That's a LOT of light for that small of a space, you could get away with just 1 600w easy.

i'm trying to stay away from spending more money lol i have the two lights and was just thinking about using the two of them. so what would the difference between the grows if i used a 1000w v.s two 600w v.s. one 600w?

Yes could get away with a 600w in a 4x4 tent but 2 600ws would sure be alot better .....I run a 1000w 4x4 tent aircooled hood temps no prob 3/4's the year... i use one 1 8" fan to cool and scrub but i cant use co2 becaues of that..
4x4=1000w 3.5x3.5=600w imo I would just rock your two lights and like you said dedicate one fan to cool and one to exhaust just make sure your exhausting both fans outside...dont exhaust your scrubber fan outside then recycle your light cooling air back into the room..... do both fans outside

would a 600w hps give me a good crop like a 1000w system? i;m just asking due to what a lot of growers use! is it true that a 1000w system would give u a bigger crop or can i get a grow close to what a 1000w can do by using a 600

I'd say they aren't too far apart from each other, people have awesome results from both. What I'd do is one 600w for a veg chamber and the other for a flower chamber. That would be a sweet setup. =)

with that venting I think you'll do well. It's more light than the 1000w, and a more even distribution. Only issue is heat, and it sounded like you had air cooled hoods, if so I say go for it
