how long does it take for a plant to show its flowering

i have just put aload of plants into flowering and was wondering how many days or weeks i have to wait before i see signs of flowering? the strains are og kush blue widow blue hash sour cream and soon a pineapple express and tangerine dream.i know 12/12 from the begining will drop yield but i plan on keeping my light on 12/12 and adding a plant every week, will this work in giving me a decent amount of weed for each week?

You should be able to pull 1oz per plant. But why have all the hassle of seeds just keep cloning and flowering donor plant while vegging the clone. then repeat .


You can sometimes get mutations in generations but if you do then start a new seed.

i would but its jus i have loads of seeds and nowhere to store a mother plant so id rather jus chuck a seed each week into a pot, but about my current plants how long should they take to show flowers? i am pretty dam anxious too see buds as most of my other grows were either outdoors or autos, also how much light will stress a plant into hermying as at the front of the growdrobe there is a small space which i have taped up but im just wondering if something were to happen and for some reason i had to take the tape away, it would be at night of course as the lights go off at 7.30, would the very small amount of light in my room with the lights off cause a plant to hermy or prevent flowering?

It took my female about a week to show her sex after I switched lights. I vegged her 6 weeks total from seed. She is an LST (bush) and has too many main bud colas formed to count on two hands now at day 20 12/12.

pot is too small should be at least 3 times the size you have it in and the plant looks a little stretched. Nice healthy green though.

Closer lights will keep stretching to a minimum. The less space between branches (nodes) the better the bud formation will be.

i was supposd to start 12/12 awhile ago and ive topped her quite a few times, thats why she looks like that and shes already too big i dont want her getting any bigger.

im running a dual spec 150 watt MH not very close to the tops ( i keep my smaller plants on old speakers to raise them) but that og kush is getting too tall i need her too start flowering or else im gonna have to cut half of her off, i been feeding her flower nutes but it seems after 4 days none of the plants have shown a single hair, wtf is going on here, i need too see some signs of flowering or my og is getiin cut up and id rather have a huge manageble plant than a decently big but not as big as she couldve been plant.

It will show, stay calm and don't do anything rash. If you need to, go ahead and do some minor LST to the Kush and lower it a bit. They WILL show, it's what they do, just remember, if you start seeing little ball shaped growth between nodes then go ahead and pull it out of the room. Relax, stay calm, they WILL show I promise

I would first of all like to say that the CLOSER you keep your lights to your plants the less virtical growth! The further away your lights are the more the plant will stretch towards it.

A forum user with reputation like you have and the posts you also have should know that it can take alot longer than 4 days to see any pistils. You should also know not to be feeding them flower nutes yet as they are still going through a 2 week stretching period due to the photoperiod switch. You should be feeding them your Grow nutes for the next 3weeks to make sure they are green enough to sustain them through the flowering period.


You really should do a little more research. (no offence)

It boggles my mind when i see people with 4 rep blocks and no clue what they're doing!

thats another prob, i know og kush has a tendency to hermie, is it does ima put it in my back yrd if it dies it dies, will the other plants be ok? i cant see any light leaks, what could delay them from showing white hairs? i checked them today and theyv got a lil smell especialy the og kush, its gtin abit lighter and at the top there are green and white hair starting to form, is this her making a new branch or the begining of flowering?

Those little hairs are the hairs from a FEMALE plant, lol... If it were male I'd see odd looking balls on it. Trust!

if you're worried about her getting to tall befor she flowers get an old wire coat hanger and straighten it out tie the stem losely to careful not to damage her to much, if you do hurt her a little she'll repair in a day or so, then you can treat he like a vine and lower your lights so she gets bathed evenly as possible in as much light a she can get her leaves on

ive had plants take 2-3 days and others take 14 ! its just like advertised flowering time = MAD ! patience as long as ya got no major light leaks when its supposed to be dark it will get there !

From my personal experience, it usually takes anywhere in the territory of 7-12 days to show signs of flowering. males will typically show sooner than females. Keep that in mind.
