I started this quest for cheese a few months ago when i decided to place my first order in years. After hearing all the hype about Uk cheese and all the breeders doing cheese crosses this is what i was after. Since i still really didnt know if the tude was going to be reliable i decided to by from Arjan because he had the most exposere to me at that point. I really believd i was gonna get da real deal. I started doing some digging on rollitup and found out the what i had is not the real thing but i could find something close. Soon later I was gifted some Dank Dairy Cheese Bx2 seeds and really wanted to know how they got Cheese in regular seed form. And i found it. These are all quotes from a breeder know in some circles as "Pistils".
DDS Introduction
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
At last it is time to begin the testing phase of the Dank Dairy Seeds Cheese bx project. Over the past years i have had a clone of the Uk Cheese which has
become my favourite toke due to its intense berry/piney flavou and its knockout smell and cerebral high....
So.. Whats the Dank Dairy about... Well, basically i want to create cheese seeds so everyone can enjoy this spectacular plant in their garden, there have
been a couple of other people/breeders try this project also which i have tried and have rejected down to either lack of cheese qualities or Hermaphradite
problems...
As noone knows where the cheese originated from, some say Skunk#1 pheno which is kinda hard to believe personally due to the stability of Skunk#1 and also
the fact that i have had a v v v similar female to cheese in my garden and was a NL line.
So,, how are we beginning our Cheese Project?
4 months ago i selected a cheese clone for the seeded mom and after day 28 flower and spread over space of 14 days i selectively hit a seperate bud with a
different pollen ( taking great care to isolate the polinated bud from teh rest of the plant with a paper bag and then by washing the treated bud thoroughly
with water spray afterwards to ensure no rogue pollen escaped onto the other bud sites..
So , now 4 months later i have just harvested and deseeded the Cheese mom and now have the following selection to test and document to find the illusive
cheese dominant male for a bx project back to cheese.
Cheese x DannyBoy
Cheese x Orange Velevet
Cheese x Jacks Suprise
Cheese x Blue Thunder
So.. today i will start a selection of these to see what unfolds, i will post weekly updates of their progress and also share my thoughts along the way
regarding selection of a male and my jusdgement of the stability of each cross..
Dank Dairy Research and Development Stage..
We have the Cream of the Crop and Cheese Too we hope...
The world was thinking HEY BREEDER DUDE WHY NOT JUST USE LIKE SK1 OR NL5 IF U THINK THATS WHAT IT IS?
Hi there peeps, thanks for all showing your interest.. i see that some are wondering as to why i have shosen these particular males, its because mainly that
the males that i came across while testing out the certain varieties stod out from a lot of males i have come across over the past few years.. I expect a lot
of variation and hopefully wide range so i will get very cheese dom and very dannyboy dom plants.. i am in no rush im imply using the numbers game to start
things off.. as im sure i will make a few nice hybrids along the way.. but i will continue to go through all the seeds i have created which is quite a few
indeed so im busy period.
I am not in a rush to release anything that is completely unpredictable and i will settle for a 50/50 cross or its just got to be the possibly looong bx
road.. WHy didnt i use a skunk? well because i know a few private associates that have tried breeding the cheese for some years now also using skunks.. it
would seem that it still hasnt been achieved as neither are happy with results after 3 or 4 years of trying.. SO as skunks#1 is true breeding then it would
suggest the cheese isnt and as we dont know what its makeup is , its a shot in the dark from any starting point but if i can lock the pungent smell and taste
i can live with it as its what puts it apart from the rest..
Hey there peeps, i have been really busy this past month and have stripped the lab and rebuilt it and converted the old space into a mother/Veg space.
As you know i have a selection of cheese crosses to try out and see if i cant find myself a nice cheese dom male to bx back to the cheese, well i have
germinated a selection of them and the resukts are promising.
Seeds germinated:
11 x Cheese x Orange Velvet (sticky stem male, really smelly)
14 x Cheese x Dannyboy
25 x Cheese x Jacks Suprise
Also
9 x OG Choc Thai
17 x La confidential x Dannyboy
Also
some old seeds gifted to me
5 x NL 1990
7 x Skunk #1 88 x Pure haze
these were all soaked on the 25th of July and popped into root riot cubes on the 26th between the 28th July and 1st August they were all potted up into 7cm
pots of coilmix coir(70%) + Soil (30%)
The germination was almost 95% only let down , by only 1/2 of the cheezexOv seeds cracking and also only 5 of the 9 OG choc Thai
All the older seeds have cracked, but are slow to reveal themselves, some have completely shed the shell but are still curled up, i suppose you'd be the
same after such a looong sleep.
so, these will now veg up inder 500w of CFL 7000k lighting on 18/6 lightcycle for 4 weeks or so till being sexed and tagged for characteristics etc.
long road ahead..
I have kept detailed notes daily on any cheese similarities or not expressing themselves during the F1 stock bloom, i have cloned from every single hybrid
and numbered them so as they bloom i will be selecting and rejecting, the remaining plants that i consider to be cheese dom will be selected to create the
F2 parent stock, from which im hoping to find some really cheesey candidates..
So far, i have noticed that all the Cheese x JSuprise have an awesome structure but still display a lot of cheese traits, flat axial branching, purpling
stems, pungent sickly odour, the Jacks suprise has improved the cheese structure is a couple of the plants and now i am just awaiting the blooming stage to
really get underway so i can check how cheesey the buds are..
Cheese x Dannyboy are all similar and look like 50.50 hybrids as there is very little variation within the Dannyboy hybrid group... there are a couple of
plants i have already selected for F2 parents as they stink just like cheese..
ALl the Orange Velevet crosses are the same, absolutely no variance, they are all sea of green dream poles.. the Ov male sure is a dominant and im hoping
its just passed structure and left the cheesey qualities to the buds, we will soon see..
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well i have ben breeding the cheese now for a while and have selected the best so far ready for F2 stocks and a bx back to the original Cheese mom..
Here are some of the cheese x danyboys that
i have selected for further work and depending on taste test, i thinki will keep one of these as headstash as
the smell is exactly cheese im c
huffed to report and teh yield is waaaaaaaay up on teh original cheese , thanks to Danyboys cola tendencies..
UK clone Only Cheese x Dannyboy
I am really pleased with this cross, i mean i have always loved the cheese for its narcostic qualities, the taste but most of all the addictive smell she wafts out, even as a cutting in veg, but once in bloom, damn, carbon filters are a lifesaver..
I grew out Dannyboy last year from TGA, i must say it was sooo tastey and the high was soo instant and thorough and it also posseses a very unique fresh
fruit smell, produces cola's like baseball bats and packs on weight.. I am not a professional breeder by any description, i just have a passion for quality
and think i have a good eye and even better instincts, so i selected a very stocky danyboy male to get it on with my cheesey princess..
Its now 9 months or so later and i am currently testing some of teh resulting beans and i must admit im shocked, either im as lucky as a mofo as out of
just a few beans i started , each one carries the cheese smell, with 2 displaying it with true roadkill qualities just like the cheese mom, this i was not
expecting at all, i really thought it would be a looong loongtime before i could unlock those terpins and lock them into a hybrid.
She is soooo Frosty and sticky...mmmm
Well, thats all for now... basically the release date depends on teh results of teh 50 seed run and if im not happy with them i will test the
cheese x cheeseboy bx1 seeds i created from a really cheesey male of these seeds which werer bx'd back to Chese mom.
Well time has come for the scissors, im quite impressed with teh weight on these cheeseboy plants, the previous pictures are only of 3 plants, each plant
has at least 9 good sized buds, they stink really cheesey and are totally clattered in resin.
3 plants chopped...
Well, im pleased with teh smell, im pleased with the resin and def pleased with the weight.. so lets see if she packs a punch like cheese, if so , i will
do a large run of cheese and make some more with my dannyboymale..
Well this is dannyboy 1 Ie F1, which i have just planted out 25 seeds onto flood drain tables for phenotype assessment. so dependin on results will tell me
if i can release and be confident there will be some cheesey goodness in every pack.. and maybe a dannyboy dom suprise with a hint of cheddar..lol but
thats all good ..
i will post some pics later of teh seedlings all potted up and rearing to go under aircooled halide lighting..
cheers for all teh interest peeps, i must admit , i cant wait till this cheeseboy 1 is dry and ready to toke, its lookin really nice as it shrinks, if
there are too many pheno's this run, i intend to find a cheesey F2 male and pollinate the Cheese again to create CHeeseboy 2, rest assured peeps, i will
work with this line till im satisfied its cheesey... then you will def all get to try soem real cheesey treats.
Since i started this cheese project i have been constantly approached with requests for seeds, as if i dont want to release the cheesey roadkill skunk
genetics to the rest of the world lol Well, i do want each and every one of you to have that chance, to pop a seed and be almost certain your getting
exactly what you see here.
This is why i have decided to return to the project and create soem F2 stocks, but i have a few F1 seeds in stock and if this pheno test is favourable and
leans towards the cheese side of the cross i will release alimited number of seeds for sale. So, if you interested in getting your hands on some unique
medicinal genetics, stay tuned..
hey.. heres a few pics of their progress, they are looking quite nice, there is def a bit of variation showing now, so i feel a few phenos will show from
this test, just depends on how cheesey each pheno is.
a picture speaks a thousand words.
C pheno 3, its looking like most are dc dom and remainder are Cheese Dom , i havent found any Dannyboy dominant plants so that a good thing i think, my
next bx with F2 male should turn up some really cheesey plants..
Conclusion///
i am a little pissed at the timing of this test, it simply clashed with the store move which resulted in me not being there to dose regularly ennough for
my liking, i know by looking at these plants flowering pattern that they will be def high yielders as they havent had the right feed levels, chilled at
night, fungus gnats u name it and they are still looking to be packing on flowers now they are at week 6...
I have decided that i am going to do another test with plants taht have had some veg time before releasing these seeds, i want to show their potential and
feed tehm properly to assess each ones traits properly..
overall im pleased.. 50% are stinking of cheese and teh remainder are lovely inb their own right..
cheese is a a very very sweet smelling plant, it has a def piney, cleaner smell and an ambling sideways growth pattern, it sets a lot of 3 bladed leaves
out and has this easy to notice mutation on mature leaf sets which gives it a double serration along the fan blade tips.
Well, im pleased to announce that out of teh 8 cheeeboys kept back for further scrutiny i have selected a special 2 females that stink liek cheese when you
brush against them , carry loooadsa of serrated leaves, have a very similar leaf shape to cheese but with a monster structure. Also i have found a killer
male, nearly every blade is double serrated and he also carries a smell just like cheeemom, no where near as potent, but my instincts are telling me this
male is a winner..
Below are 3 pics of cheeseboy F2 female number 12
Well, i have had to delay the cheeseboy proj while i sorted some things, now we are back on track and this run of cheeseboy F2's are really fat and looking
lovely.. this is the run i have been waiting for as i have been waiting for coz these F3 seeds are hopefully going to supply me with my next cheese dom
male for my bx back to the original cheese.
Well its been a long road to get to here, i started teh cheese breeding project off over 2 years ago now and i am pleased with results so far.. my f2 beans
produced quite a number of very cheesey pheno;s and from these i selected a very cheesey male for both the F3 run. I also used this male to try a test bx
back to the original cheese clone only parent to see how much variation there is in the f2 cheeseboy line. i intend to start quite a few f3 seeds to search
for teh cheesiest male i can to do a f3 bx, so my f2 bx is bx1 and the f3 bx will be bx2
The f1 chjeeseboys carried a lot of dannyboy traits, ie large buds but cheesey phenos were far and few between, it took quite a bit of selection to find a
suitable candidate for teh f2 parents..
You will see how in teh f2 they lean much more towards cheese traits, much more resin and a lot more cheesey phenos, in fact teh selected f2 female was
extremely cheesey as was the selected male, the f2's were def more leafy than f1's but im not looking for size here , purely dank, stink and hit.. which
after smoketesting teh f2's im def on the right track, now it all depends on how much variance hides withing teh f3 seeds..
Lets see how the f3 plants look next week when i start a large batch for male selection..
unfortunately in most cases people are just throwing pollen at a cheese clone of whatever male is available and selling the seeds as cheese or a more
honestly as a cheese hybrid, i have worked with cheese for many years and know it very well which has helped me greatly in a much longer road of careful
selection and inbreeding with only the traits i desire ie rotten roadkill sweet skunk funk!!
What about Big Budda and greenhouse?
Hmm good Q...
basically big buddhas male used diluted its potency a little and was also too dominant to be released as cheese the first release, but alas they were
released as cheese, so a lot of people running cheese pass out clones calling it " cheese" so, thanks to buddha there is now a whole heap of confusion
regarding what is actually cheese..
So, thats where th lack of potency reports come from, as for my project, its simply a case of, they will be released when at least 50% of plants from a
pack come out with roadkill traits, ie offensive rotten, piney sick smell and a rip yer head off hit.. then they will be released as what ever generation
they are , ie cheese bx1 or cheese bx2, bx3 , or however far i need to go to get these traits locked down..
Sorry forgot some.. i feel the greenhouse version may be a big buddha 80% cheese 20% afghan cutting , selfed, which is why they have came out soo varied i
suspect..
I have now decided to test the cheese bx male i selected from these seeds as teh variance seems to be quite small, he stinks , so i feel this
Cheese x Cheesebx male will be the final cross for these seeds to go out for sale. ( i honestly thought i would never get to say that..lol)
What can i say.. thanks buddy.. i think these will be 1/2 as cheesey again compared to that cheeseboy your smoking( F1) once i , sorry, we smoke these
plants ill know how close I am to my final goal, afterall, im not doing this to decorate, but to devastate.lol.. not so much these days, but when i first
found Cheese it battered me sideways, made my eyes red and wet, i looked like a carck head.. paranoid.. but i still wanted more..lol thats what i want to
share with everyone the narcotic bang... if these do that, then i will release these as CheeZ BX1,
then Cheese x CheeZ BX1 male stinker, will be relaeased
as CheeZGti and the one your smoking F1's will be released as CreamCheeZ...
what ya wreckon.. ( im going to label mine as CheeZ to distinguish it from the many so called cheesey alternative cheese offerings. ..
Well, i am more impressed bythese cheez bx test plants each time i go and see how they are developing, they just keep getting fatter by the day the smells
are starting to get complex, faint cheese undertone but with added sweetness... with the smaller phenos stinking much more cheezey, astringent is teh word
subby uses to describe cheese and quite a spot on description it is too..
Less chat .. heres some more pics between day 45 -49..
Heres my selected cheesebx male, selected for his aroma, almost exactly like cheese when you take cuttings.. im hoping he carries all those roadkill
traits...
he sure carries a lot of resin for a male..
Well its been a while since I did any breeding i am lucky to have a friend of two keeping a few select parents of mine alive for me or it'd be back to the
starting block all over again and i have a location in spain to get a lot of genetics thoroughly tested in a legal environment so its soon to be action
stations again.
I will be changing the name of Dank Dairy to Cannaseur Seeds, i may use the Dank Dairy as a brand name for my cheese crosses but most of the work will be
released as Cannaseur Seeds in 2010.
I intend to spend a lot of time in spain during 2010 to get into doing what i love..
Hi Bud..
all good now...
What do you need to know about Cheese bx2?
Cheese x dannyboy = Cheeseboy cheese x cheeseboy = cheese bx 1 and cheese x cheesebx1 = cheesebx 2
9 week bloom, moderate feed, loves high humidity during veg, tight nodes, 1.5 x stretch..
i max feed at 1.8 ec including bloom bossts, so 1.4 ec feed + .4 Ec boost...

Pistils
Hi Mr. Shishkaboy
I havent had chance to run as many Cheese bx2 as I'd like as i had to shut a test lab down in a hurry.. :-/ so, from my initial trials the pheno variation in cheese bx2 was closer to my goal as bx 1 contained approx 4 distinct phenos and bx2 has only 3 real phenotypes with a couple of plants being very close to cheese, these are teh smallest , squattest plants and form xmas tree bushes with dark leaves and long slender fan leaves..
There are 3 pheno's all finish inbetween 8-9 weeks 2 phenos are taller, larger in general and strretch 2 x during flower and the cheesey one only stretches 1.5x the larger phenos have an almost vanilla, cream smell to them and the smaller one is much more sweeter and denser bud structure...
hope this helps...

Pistils
start your 5 beans if you are luck with the number of females you get you shoudl at least get 1 cheesey roadkill squatt plant...
