i know but if people would of kept thei ignorance inside their homes we will all be happy thats the problem someone will be like i rather sacrifice my self than let a obama hussein be the president
bammmmmmmmmm cracker kills president and himself thats the history
or the feds will do it and blame on somebody because omaba is ending all the corruption
LoL...Obama will not end all the corruption. He would be just another president. Which is why IMHO I think he would be safe as president. Ron Paul, on the other hand, would end all the corruption and therefore would be more likely to be assasinated.

The next president will be voted in largely because of his charisma, not necessarily because of the issues. Obama has both the charisma and has told us how he would vote on the issues. Stop and go to Welcome to Obama for America and see where he stands before you start arguing that he is just for change. As far as assassination, other presidents have been assassinated, and they were white men. I hope no one gets killed, but if Obama gets elected and assassinated, that is just the way it goes. At least he put his life on the line for what he believes in - change. And from what most of us want, is a change from the GWB administration, whether your man/woman is Paul, Obama, Clinton or the others. Just go out and vote.

thank you, im glad that there is someone intelligent in this thread. the majority of you are saying that he will be a bad president because he is black. who gives a fuck what color his skin is as long as he can do a good job. i believe that he would do a good job. he had realistic solutions to the U.S.'s major problems. and just because he isnt ron paul, doesnt mean he sucks. most of you on here that want paul to win is so marijuana can be legalized, and you know what? you're going to smoke it anyway.

which is what im about to do. :joint:

Wow buddy this stands out as the most idiotic statement I have ever read on this site...Go study up on some American history, buddy. It is the people that make great change that are assasinated. Which is exactly why Ron Paul and not Obama would have the greatest chance of an assasination. Obama would keep the status quo and there would be no need to assasinate him...Look throughout history at the people who were assasinated and every one was for a good reason. JFK signed a lot getting rid of the Fed that would allow America to print it's own money and be free of the inflation tax of the federal reserve. Two weeks later he was murdered. Andrew Jackson tried the same thing. A few weeks later an assasination was attempted. There's plenty more but I'll stop there. And FYI Ron Paul will get rid of the Fed if elected and will be assasinated. Obama would not. Go study up now.
p.s. Calling ppl of color ppl of color is not racist. That just means they're not white.
nope i can see a bullet going through obamas head right now...:hump:

Mama's going to buy you some chitlings, No mama's going to buy you a Mockingbird. A Mockingbird? Doesn't a Mockingbird Mock others? Basically, Mocking adds nothing to the debate, just makes fun of others. Is this really you? Take your medicine and calm down.
The mockingbird is the most intelligent bird species in North America and he enjoys a reputation for making jokes out of the other creatures that are around him.

I did, in a light-hearted way, ask you a legitimate question. Where is Obama's experience? He has proven nothing, other than a slick presention, to me. But, just show me his results at something useful. I will sing his praises.

So now, haven't I added to the debate?

but you are doing that now, correct?
everyone who smokes in the US right now are smoking with the possibility of cops finding out and getting in trouble for it. some worry, but smoke anyway. thats a decision. if your worries were really troubling you, you would not be smoking.

dont get me wrong, id be very happy to be able to walk out of my house and into my car hitting the pipe without being sketched out about who can see me. but i smoke anyway, not in public, and i still worry about if that cop sitting at the other table knows im stoned. but the risks of getting caught (for me anyway) isnt enough to get me to stop smoking because i believe im not doing a bad thing.

sorry if that was rambling, im pretty high.

No Just sarcasm.
BETTENDORF, IOWA--Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, bidding to strengthen his appeal among working families, outlined new proposals Wednesday designed to make college more affordable, encourage retirement savings and help people balance the competing demands of work and family.
In a speech delivered in Bettendorf, Iowa, Obama said the cost of the American Dream is rising faster than ever. "While some have prospered beyond imagination in this global economy, middle-class Americans -- as well as those working hard to become middle class -- are seeing the American dream slip further and further away," he said.
Obama said President Bush's tax cuts have helped to increase income inequality and said the administration's policies have favored corporate and special interests over average families. But he argued that it will take more than replacing Bush with a Democrat next year to bring about the changes needed.
"We're not going to reclaim that dream unless we put an end to the politics of polarization and division that is holding this country back," he said in remarks prepared for delivery. "Unless we stand up to the corporate lobbyists that have stood in the way of progress. Unless we have leadership that doesn't just tell people what they want to hear but tells everyone what they need to know."
Obama repackaged some of the proposals he has outlined already in the campaign with several new ones in an effort to offer a newly updated economic message two months before the Iowa caucuses. Through much of the year, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) has demonstrated much more appeal to middle-class and blue-collar voters than Obama, a critical weakness in the Illinois senator's campaign that he is seeking to overcome.

Campaign officials said the new proposals would cost $26 billion annually. That does not include the cost of his health care proposal or his previously announced middle-class tax cut.

Among the new proposals offered Wednesday is a refundable tax credit to cover the first $4,000 in tuition costs for any student. Obama said that would cover two-thirds of the tuition costs at the average public college or university. He also pledged to simplify the financial aid application process to make it easer for all students to apply for assistance.

To make saving for retirement easier, Obama said he would require employers to enroll workers in direct deposit accounts. Workers would have the option of opting out of the program or putting even more of their wages into the accounts. He also proposed expanding an existing program that would have the federal government match half of the first $1,000 in savings for families earning $75,000 or less.

To help families cope with the burdens of raising children or caring for elderly parents, Obama pledged to double the amount of money spent on after-school programs and expand provisions of the Family and Medical Leave Act to cover millions more families. He also said he would encourage states to provide paid leave for workers.

"Americans don't expect government to solve all our problems," Obama said, according to his prepared text. "But you're tired of a government that works for special interests, and not for you. It's time that we had leadership that worried as much about Main Street as it does about Wall Street."
