how do you deal with your algae. Are there any tips to make sure my tray completely drains?

Hey BonB, if you buy another tote the same as your using for your flood table and drill a bunch of holes in the bottom then stack it inside the one your already using it will keep your net pots an inch or so higher and because it has holes in the bottom it will drain completely. Maybe if you cover the bottom of the one with holes with something and cover the outside of the one it sits in it will be enough to block the light. Generally not a good idea to use clear plastic though.

That's a great idea. What I ended up doing is cutting a piece of plastic and drilling holes in it. It fits up against the bulkhead ebb & flow fitting and is kept about an 8th inch above the bottom. So far I've been able to get the roots out of standing water with this change. When it comes to algae. I covered most of the tray with aluminum foil to block the root areas from the light. We'll see what happens.
