possible PH problem?

i recently bought a hanna ph tester and did the 7.0 solution calibrated it then used it to test my water! i got it to my desired inbetween 6.2 and 6.5 and watered. well the next day a plant was wilting away over night so i was confused and flushed it and it remains the same with little new growth. (im into the 4th week of flowering as well) ok then i use it three days later once again test my ph and use it again. the next day another plant is doing the sAME THING. well i did another test and found that even tho the tester says 6.3 i decided to do a dye test and the ph was at 5.0 could this be the reason why my plants are being destroyed one by one and will they recover if i continue to give them the right ph level? the tester is wrong for sure and it also has a low level screw on it for a different solution which the garden store told me i only needed the 7.0 solution but the damn thing is off on it's scale for sure. does anyone know if that kind of ph change would effect the plants so quickly like in an over night processs?

drastic ph swings and being that low can mess them up quick. it shouldn't kill them depending how low it was.

no idea how old your plants are, i would feed them half of what you were feeding them and then start to bump it up every other watering

i stored the meter correctly! like i said it was wrong out of the box. the guy said i need to set it in a 7.0 ph solution for two hours and i did that! but there is also a 4.5 thing on it as well so i'm sure it needs to be calibrated on that ed as well! my plants are four weeks into flowering and were budding up nice till this epidemic happened. ok so half of what i was feeding them is what i need to do?

was it a 30 dollar meter? i went through 4 of those in a year before i bought a decent one. hm digital makes a decent meter for about 75 bucks

2 point calibration can be a bit tidious but well worth it if you want the most accurate readings your meter has to offer.

get a meter that cost closer to a hundy......you will be pleased....a drip test is better than a cheap meter....in my opinion.
good luck
