so i am going to be trying to re-ceg my la woman and sharks breath in a little while and i am wondering what i’m going to need to do for this? How should i take the buds off? How should i feed? Things of this nature, and after a 30hour dark period maybe even longer will it be able to bounce back from that?

ive never re-vegged ill just tell you all i know, not sure if itll help or not but i hope it does.

you re-veg by putting it in a long light cycle again. id do 24-48hrs lights on first. then go ontop a 20/4 or 18/6. i dont think you remove the buds, they die by themselves during the process but dont take my word.

when it starts to re-veg the new growth will start with 1blade-3blades for a while. dont worry its normal. it wont look like a weed plant cause of all the single blades but it will bounce back. just give it time.

hope that helped.

First, keep in mind that a plant that has never flowered before tends to flower more robustly than one flowering a second time. This isn't 100% of the time or a huge difference. When revegging, ignore the tiniest buds at the bottom and try to make as few cuts as possible. Make sure to leave a few growing shoots and fan leaves. If you can get away with just lopping off the main cola, do that. While not usually necessary, damp pieces of cotton can be secured onto any major cuts for a couple days to protect them while they heal. Keep the soil moist but not so wet that air doesn't get to the roots. Mist the plants a couple times a day, or when possible. Once the plant has recovered from the intial chop(s), you can go back and remove the smallest buds.

Keep an eye on the roots after harvesting. If you used the perfect sized pot for your plants to finish flowering in, then leaving them in longer risks root binding. Once the plants have recovered from harvesting, if the roots can wait that long, you need to start treating them like mothers. The first step in that process will be their first root pruning. The sides and bottom of the root ball are chopped off with a sharp knife and the plant is repotted with fresh dirt.

Leave as many as the leaves on as you can! Just clip the buds.
Put it in a bigger pot, the roots are usualy root bound an need some more space befor revegg.
Switch the light to 12/12 an start with the vegg nutes asap.
You should see single leafs for awhile, when its putting out normal leafs(bout a month) she can be flowered again.

wow i did not know to chop roots.
So i will be left with little to no bud so that it will have places for new growth or could i just leave the lower buds for that?

The reasons why you wouldn't remove the little buds immediately is to minimize the number of cuts and stress on the plant, because the little buds at the bottom are growing where your new stalks will be growing, and because they are usually not as good as the other buds and expendable. The vegging growth, as you may have already seen, comes from the little shoots on either side of every node. These and some fan leaves are what you need to still have after harvesting.

Re-Vegging Marijuana Plants After Harvest

It is quite possible when growing indoors to grow a plant from seed, through the vegetative cycle, flowering and harvest, and then force the plant back into the vegetative cycle to repeat the whole process!

How does this happen?

Cannabis' life is governed by the hours of light it receives, if a plant is kept under a light for around 16 or more hours per day it will stay in the vegetative cycle indefinitely, if the light hours are reduced to around 12 hours per day the plant will go into flowering mode. If, when the flowering has finished and the crop harvested the light's are put back to 18 +hrs per day, the plant will be forced back into the vegetative cycle.

How is it done?

It is possible to harvest plants and then rejuvenate (re-vegetate) them vegetatively for a 2nd and even 3rd harvest. A second harvest can be realized in as little as 6-8 weeks. Since the plant stalk, and roots are already formed, the plant can produce a second, even third harvest of buds in a little more than half the time of the original harvest. When harvesting, take off the top 1/3rd of the plant. Leave most healthy fan leaves in the middle of the plant, cutting buds off branches carefully. On the lower 1/3rd of the plant, take off end flowers, but leave several small flowers on each branch. These will be the part of the plant that is regenerated. The more buds you leave on the plant, the faster it will regenerate. Feed the plant some high nitrogen plant food immediately after harvest.

After you have harvested your plant and left some of it still in tact, you need to transplant your mother because she needs new soil and room to grow a new root structure to support the new growth. Make sure your soil is semi-dry so that the root structure when it slides out of it's old home stays mostly in-tact, but since you have reduced the size of your plant you can also reduce the size of your root structure significantly. You can cut off parts of the rootball mass without injuring the plant

When you intend to regenerate a plant, make sure it never gets too starved for nitrogen as it is maturing, or all the sun leaves will fall off, and your plant will not have enough leaves to live after being harvested.

Harvested plants can come inside for rejuvenation under continuous light or are left outside in summer to rejuvenate in the natural long days. As stated before, and in contrast to normal growth patterns, lower branches will be the first to sprout new vegetative growth. With the light's back to the veg cycle and the plant fed, the plant will start to grow new shoots. Usually it takes 2 or 3 weeks before any new shoots are noticed and the growth of the new shoots can look very strange, single leaves will grow as well as other mutant looking leaves (as seen in the pic below). This is completely normal and after a couple of weeks growth the 'proper' leaves will start to appear.

How Long Do I Veg For?

As with all Cannabis plants, the longer you keep the plant in the re-veg cycle before switching to flowering, the bigger and better your plant will eventually become. Although, for best results it is better to wait until the re-vegged plant is producing a good amount of 'proper', full leaves again before switching to the flowering cycle.

You start revegging them as soon as you harvest. There's some debate on whether kicking em with 24/0 to stop bud growth immediately is best or if they should be eased into veg with 18/6 first to decrease stress. Mother plants should always end up in 24/0 to keep root growth down. You can put it in a bigger pot as Scar suggested if the roots really need it asap but you want to avoid stepping up pot size with mother plants. If you expect to keep them a long time, you can't keep increasing pot size.

Brick you need a new avatar. Not that it's not sexy and all.

It is the perfect avatar for me. I am within two months of hitting 56 years old so, unlike tafbang's Leaning Tower of Pisa picnic basket plants, I'm not sexy anymore. Plus the actor in the avatar, the late Alan Ford, played Brick Top in "Snatch" and he was a rough old cob ... and I am just the same .. minus of course having people murdered and fed to pigs ..... well ... at least not so far anyway ... but if many more little clown shoes trolls show up here that might change.

Where are all the female stoners? Brick doesn't feel sexy. We need some hot ass over here pronto!

It's not a problem for me .... that's why God made hookers. I can have a hot 20 or 22 year old or whatever when I feel the itch .. I just have to rent them for around $350.00 per hour. There's one of them below. To this nearly 56 year old dude it's money WELL SPENT!

It works for me ..... like David Bowie sang .... Wham bam, thank you ma'am!
