LAS VEGAS - Metro Police scored two large marijuana busts Wednesday evening. One raid resulted from an investigation into a marijuana dispensary operating near Sunset Park. The other raid occurred after a marijuana grow house caught fire in a southwest valley neighborhood.
Police began investigating the Green Life Consulting marijuana dispensary near Sunset Road and Eastern Avenue after concerned parents complained about the business operating near Sunset Park.
After hours of surveillance and several undercover drug purchases, Metro obtained a search warrant and raided the business Wednesday night.
"We located anywhere between five to six pounds of finished marijuana ready for sale; what appears to be maybe a gallon or two of hash oil, and a pretty significant sum of U.S. currency," said Metro Narcotics Lt. Laz Chavez.
Police arrested three employees and a manager and booked them for possessing and selling marijuana, conspiracy to sell the drug, and maintaining a place to sell it. Police also added an enhancement, because they say the unlicensed business was selling drugs too close to a park.
