Dont worry about PPM... If someone tells you PPM without the CF then you have no point of reference as to what they are talking about. Confused? Good...
Now, EC which is a measure of PPM is consistant when discussing measurements with people.
However, neither of these things are important to you when figuring out what works for you.
Start with 1/2 the recommended dose on the back of the manufacturers product and add more if you see deficiencies.
Ultimately, nobody can tell you what the *perfect* ppm is for you due to variable nutrient uptake due to lighting, temperature, size of resevoir, etc... If it was that easy the PPM values would be stickied at the top of the forum.

For veg, I've found it's a waste to feed at more than about 500ppm on the 442 scale or .7 EC. Double that for flower and for about 90% of the strains out there, you've got yourself some healthy plants.
NLXSK1.............thanks for the quick reply. Basically that is what I have done. PPM was 1240 last feeding, and the little girl has sky rocketed in the last 3 days..........growing in an enclosed cabinet with 600 aircooled light, flood and drain set-up, 4" exhaust fan.....with scrubber, works awesome

No matter what scale you're on, 1240ppm for veg is too much. Keep it up and you'll hurt your yields, potency of the final product, and probably have salt buildup issues in less than 4 weeks. It sounds like you're new to this but I have a feeling trail and error will be your best teacher.
