Prepare your cups
1)Take 2 plastic cups and burn a pencil sized hole in the bottom of one or cut a hole
2)Fill one cup up with perlite and run water through it and put it in the other.
Prepare your seeds and plant them
Classic seeds in damp paper towel trick but wait only for them to pop, don't let the tap root grow out so plan on checking in on them. As soon as they pop poke a hole in the perlite and cover them.
Don't turn on the light yet
Lights can dry out the casing and prevent the seed from opening. Wait till they break free to turn the light on. After breaking the surface it should only take hours then turn the light on. Somebody will surely come to the thread and say "You need to hit them with light the second they break the surface or they will stretch!!!" And you are free to believe them. But trust me.
That's all there is to it. Just take them out daily and run water through them to get them wet. I like to keep some water in the cup and it's easy to control how much. A little high till the root grows down and then lower. They don't need any food yet, they got it all stored to begin with. After about the 3rd or 4th I start them with weak nutes but really go by the way they look, not really set in stone.
I could transplant these right now into my hempy buckets or even a dwc, wouldn'T bother me if perlite fell through.
Now a more intelligent person than me might even add a third cup on top as a humidity dome, but I'm too lazy.
