hey everyone I been wanting to try this out for awhile, so here it goes.
I welcome all comments, questions, & advice.
this is a pic. of my plant that I've been training into a mother,she is about 6 wks. old.
So far I have not been able to get a clone to live off her, but as she gets older she's getting a little more woody, and this is when my diy aero cloner works best.
I will try and post pics reg.

let me know if you have any knowledge of this plant,what you think, & what you would like to know, I'm all eyes.

I know I'm starting this a little late, but I think progress is right around the corner.
So let me give you a little back story on how we got to this point.
Awhile back I ordered a pack of Homegrown Fantaseeds big bud,from attitude. along with these came my ufo freebies. I received, G-13 pineapple express( I already have this goin on and is a very nice plant), Reserva Privada candy kush(no luck with this one,and I really wanted it),Dna sour cream( I have HIGH hopes for this one also), Dna lemon skunk(still waiting to start this one), and last but not least, my (greengenez) G-13 blueberry gum.
When my order arrived,like six days later, I immediately (well, when I only have one seed my mind always runs the gambit on which way is best) put them in peat pellets.
I waited and waited, 1day, 2 days, finally on the third day, after a couple afternoon bongers, I couldn't contain myself, the smoke of previous progress had fogged my mind, and dulled my ability to wait any longer.
I had to know what was goin on under there.
So with bong rod in hand I began slowly digging a trench well around the seed, knocking off the top center ever so gently till I could see the seed below.
Now I know you shouldn't be messin' with them, but I had to see.
After a couple rounds I could see that they had germinated, so I gently covered them back up and resumed my waiting.

I got the same promo a few months ago. They gave me Exile instead of Sour Cream (was kinda bummed).

It was killin me. after cloning so long, seeds seem like forever. The anticipation takes days off your life.

okay, sorry for my delay but computer keeps messin up on me.
I went and snapped a couple more photos to help illustrate my back story a little.
after another day maybe two, the seedlings finally broke through the top layer of peat that I cursed for its many secrets.
Excitement wasn't the word. I must have looked at them a couple hours total that day.
I continued to water the little ladies with straight well water, and giving them 18 hrs of easy lighting.
Once the roots were present under the netting of the peat pellet, with hands that a surgeon would kill for I cut away the netting, ( I guess the roots can grow through this but why make them struggle?) and transplanted them into a mix of potting soil and manuer(crap) from a well aged pile. On the size of the pot I used, I decided to go with something about this size here.

It wasn't this but about that size.(That's a mini bic in the picture there.)

after the transplant I moved them into what was my mother veg cabinet.
just an old 1'x2'x3' cupboard that I lined with some mylar wrapping paper, and had four clf daylight bulbs in a bathroom vanity style light strip.
(sorry for the poor pics, my camera doesn't care for all the light 'round here.)
If you can imagine this affixed into the cabinet, that is what I had. It was here that I started with a schedule of Fox Farm ferts.(If anyone wants to send free samples for product placement, my location is in my profile)
Right away I could see that the blueberry gum was a very vigorous plant, with big 'ol rounded fan leaves, and a very hearty stem.
Well it wasn't long before my new girls out grew their new house in the cupboard, and construction had to begin on a mother room that could hold all these lovely little gals.

Over a short period of time I gathered the supplies I needed to build this new facility, some white bathroom tile paneling,another light strip(with bulbs to match), and some junk I had laying around.
(Okay,Okay...so it wasn't really that much stuff, I'm trying to tell a story here.)
I arranged everything into a nice little 4'x3'x8' square,made my new light strip, was about to place the light in to position the hooks from which they'd hang, and realized I forgot the chain.
Now, I looked in every crack and corner of my humble abode, but the most I could scrape together was about five or six links(around 11 or 12 inches).So I had to sneak in to my flower room and rob peter.
After the mugging I came up with enough chain to hang both my (cfl,bathroom vanity style) light strips from a single chain each.
I will get pictures for my next post.

Since the trans planting took place this girl has been growing like a weed. It wasn't long before it was time for a full size pot,or at least a two gallon trash can made by sterilite. I don't really know what I was thinkin with the whole cupboard thing, because after I moved her into the bigger pot, it was plainly evident that this would've never fit.

So, with more light, more room to breath(which also helps with my light coverage),and a bigger pot allowing more root growth, this girl took right off. With big beautiful five fingered leaves that are so fat and rounded, that they overlap. The stem got so thick that I knew If I didn't top her and get a little branching going on that I would never be able to fit a cutting in my clone bucket.
I decided to try and take my first clone off of her. I selected a spot a couple branches down from the top,and struck with deadly precision( maybe a little to deadly, it did not take),cleaned the access leaves and shoots off,and stuck it in the clone bucket.

I almost forgot the pictures of my new mother veg. area. heres a pic. of the area. you can also see the lights hanging from the single chain( which actually lets me push them around alot easier)
This is real close to present day now.

No i havent but from the grows ive seen kandy kush is a heavy yeilder and looks dank.I plan on doing all 3 of those promo seeds soon.

I have tried three cuts off of her so far, sadly, to no avail. I'm not really sure why I haven't had one root yet, but I never really had much luck with the top cut off a young plant,and I believe that the stem of this plant is so thick, hollow, and tender green,(accompanied by the warm temp. of my clone bucket)I , that it causes the cuttings stem to hold a lot of water, and eventually rot.

Over the past couple of days I've been super cropping some of the side branches, in hopes of getting a better selection of side shoots to select from for cloning.
I also took two more cuts off her yesterday. One tiny branch branch at the bottom, and one mid-way up that I took to encourage branching.

Happy new year. Hope everyone, and their loved ones made it through safely, and all years to come.(?you know what I mean.)
For my first post of the new year, I thought I'd explain what my cloning process consist of.
Long,long ago, I used to clone in dirt with on again off again results(Yes, I am still a dirt slammer at heart, but I am trying my hand at hydro for the moment. Nothing ventured, nothing learned).
One day the guy that gave me my first clone of extreme quality,( Big John) offered to sell me his aero cloner. I had never heard of such thing at the time, but I thought it looked easy so I bought it for $20. It looked like a square white flower pot made made of plastic, had 12 spots to put cuttings, and a fish tank jet with a whirligig sprinkler attached.

I never looked back. Although now my cloner is just an ugly old five gallon bucket with jet,whirligig, sprayer, and fish tank heater.


Do not be fooled by the looks of this. As you can see by the picture it works( normally 100%, but young plants tend to struggle with it a little.).

You really don't need any additives, or gels to have success with this style of cloner,straight water will do, but I choose to use these for better, faster root growth.

I used to use the olivias for cloning in soil then just kept using it in the aero cloner. This, in my opinion, is the best cloning gel for your buck.

Awhile back I started having no success with my bucket, I kept puttin cuts in, and they kept dying. I was at my wits end, when I decided to try the Humboldt Roots. It turned out to be a heater malfunction, but I now feel that I can HIGHly recomend this product as well. It usually takes about seven to ten days before I see roots forming with both products, but with the humboldt roots they seem to flourish,and spread quicker. I have even started adding a little to my veg. box.

It's been three days since I took the two cuts off my bb-gum, and they're doing really well. I don'y want to put the hex on them , but I think I finally got a couple that are going to take.


Underneath, the stem curled up a little, but they seem good,and strong.
The cut on the is off the very bottom. Its little, but so was the engine that could, and its still kickin'.

The water in my bucket is kept at 70f. with a ph anywhere from 5.8 to 6.2.( I only check about once a week, and usually adjust to 5.

Keep your fingers crossed for me, so we can get this journal going, and see what this lovely lady has to offer.

olivias is good but i used rootech cloning gel same price and basically worked the same...speaking of it i have to go pick some up soon..

I might have tried that. Is it orange? It was long ago, and I think I tipped it over and spilled half on the floor. That made me decide it was to thin.

Yeah its white jar with orange letters
