Strangest fuckin think ive ever seen!!!!!

Ok so my buddy bought a quarter pound of what the weed man called "monkey balls". It was some real dank. Heres where it gets strange. One nug out of the whole bag was filled with seeds. Like around 20 seeds. Can anyone explain this to me? The nug that the seeds were in was definitely the same bud as everything else in the bag but there was literally no seeds in any other nugs in the bag. What does this mean? Did that particular branch (or maybe even that particular bud) pollinate itself? If so does that mean the seeds are feminised? Either way im gonna grow them. I was just lookin for some insight on this strange occurrence. +rep to anyone with some legit information.

maybe the grower pollinated that bud to make seeds, forgot he did so... and you ended up with it accidentally. that would be cool

My brother suggested that and honestly thats the only thing that really makes since right? cause it would seem that if the plant did pollinate itself it would mean there would be some seeds in all the bud not a bunch in one bud. Maybe the guy just thought his attempt to pollinate was unsuccesful unknowingly giving me a golden nug of some dank ass genetics. Cant wait to grow it. The buddy i got em from is gonna be growin a few too so its gonna be nice to be able to see the different phenotypes all at once

I definitely will. I cant wait man. This will be my first time really growing with good genetics. I have just used seeds from some regs in the past so it will be interesting to see the difference in genetics.

It has to be he pollinated that spot and forgot where it was because i have done that to make my hybrids and that is exactly what happens have fun doesn't mean they will all be female. But put how they come out congrats right there thats a score i love getting a seed soemtimes in just the total chronic shit yet a whole load of them

Likely just self pollination. I had a plant that was seedless except for one bud which had 5 seeds in it. It was the first bud I smoked and I thought that I would have a lot of seeds but it was the only one, it was the bottom most bud so that makes sense that the pollen dropped right on this one.

The seeded bud could have sprouted a few balls which then were swallowed up by the growth of the calyxes thus only seeding that one bud

Id bet they were hermi seeds, an i bet they are all female.
They have just as much chance of being a hermi as the mama.

The Fem seeds we buy are just hermi seeds also.

I always collect the fem seeds from kind sensimilla bud.

Hermaphoratides usualy show when the female is stressed.
Low stress = low Hermi rates, with clones or seeds.

had the same thing with my NL plant ive jus pulled, looked fine,smoked fine etc but when i split the huge main cola into smaller bits for jarring found 27 seeds in the middle of the top bud hugging the main stalk hidden from sight, think it got a bit too heat stressed
