Ever seen this problem before!!!!!!

Evening peepe or morning anyways anyone ever seen this problem before, come back from work and the plants have all fallen over and there roots are non existent,

PH is between 6.8 and 7, not using any nutrients yet as only first week and soil has 3 weeks worth of food, They have been in a propergator from start to death

so any help would be appreciated

propergator too long usually u can take the top off once leaves show and seedlings are standing up

thanks for the replies,

im hoping that it is the propegator and iv been leaving then in it too long, As for seeds iv been using big buddha seed, and the ufo freebies from attitude seed bank,

as for light iv got a 125 watt cfl only few inches away.

maybe ill change seed supplier and give it a go or the propegator

Yeah, it's probably the seedbank's fault...

Seedling 101:
Put seed in a mostly inert potting soil containing 30% aeration material, or pure coco peat, and keep moist by adding ~1oz. of clean water (preferably RO filtered) daily.
Wait 4 to 7 days.

When seedling is above ground:
Apply CFL lighting as close as possible. Equivalent wattage is not applicable. 23w to 27w bulbs can be placed as close as 1.5" from the top of the plant and that is what I suggest. Higher wattage CFL bulbs throw more heat than light and as a result you get about as much energy to the plant from a 125w bulb at 6" as you would from a 25w bulb at 2".
When installing the lighting also add an oscillating fan pointed at the seedling to remove heat and help the new plant breathe. The agitation of the air will cause the plant to flutter which will strengthen then stem and keep it from falling over as it grows taller.
Stop watering the soil daily. Allow the media to go from dry to saturated. Test when to water by lifting the planter and checking the weight.

Keeping the light closer, the media aerated, and a fan on the plant would have resolved your issue... But if you want to blame it on the seeds be my guest... but you're doing it wrong.

I got a free amnesia haze seed from The Attitude that did great until it got it's first set of leaves, and then they curled up around the top of the plant and then the whole tiny little seedling died, and when I took it out of the DWC to throw it out it had no roots...none at all...Like it just didn't ever grow roots...at first I thought I had killed it, but when I found it had no roots I assumed it was the fault of a crappy seed....Also, I had a fan, and a DWC so it can't have been not enough air, or water, or anything else, since the seed I paid for is still doing awesome with a bunch of roots...so I really do think it was just a poor plant...

You're obviously so educated when it comes to botany.

So what you're trying to tell me is the plant grew a stem? Without a root? It's so ridiculous I don't even know where to begin.

The very first thing to emerge from the seed is the tap root. It is a root right from the get go.

You guys are killing your seedlings. lmao @ "did great until it got its first leaves." So it germinated and died... that isn't doing great buddy.

Odds are good that the tap root emerges and runs into something that kills it. Be it too much moisture or too much nutrition. Then it dries up and stops growing. What you tear out is then just what is left alive at that point.

Keeping a seedling alive, be it a UFO from Attitude, or a fresh stock is pretty easy when you know what you're doing and how a plant grows. Someone needs to do some more homework.

ive had that problem a few times myself. I think its not only the genes but also if ur soil or watever is tooo compact around the plant or seedlings roots, it will almost stun the plants growth or in ur case kill the muthafucka. In my years of growing I'v noticed that palnts grow a hell of alot better when the soil iz aerated, meaning there iz still an exsisting or gud amont of air flow in ur soil perlite helps alot with that kind of thing, try using softer soil next time for germinating.

yeah i wasnt convinced it was the seed as iv had 4 do this on me and a cutting so its obviouse that im missing somethng and course it will be simple

next step then is iv got some vermiculate ill try that say 30%, iv just sprouted 2 more seeds, so snow crash ill be trying your theory out in the next few days and post pics etc,

yea that white tap root looks like it ran in to something that broke it or stopped it from growing and taking in food. If you pack your soil or medium to hard the roots will not be strong enough to penetrate and no O2 can be reached. I'd also check for pests in the soil your using.
Also after you gem the seeds I'd use those jiffy pots untill your roots start exiting. The jiffy pots are nutral soil, safe and not packed down. when the roots show just put the whole thing into your medium or soil mix. But don't pack it down to hard

right so did what ya said didnt pack my soil put 30% vermiculate in one pot 50% in the other and guess what it happened again, it was doing great till today, nearly 3 inches in 4 days,

i check it by slowly pulling it and it came staright out, as i was digging the groound seemed really packed more so than i did in the first place, hows this happening, im spraying it with a water bottle making sure the wait of the water does not pull the soil down still no joy,

gonna give it half hour for the soil to settle then gopnna check it for bugs just incase,

Seed+Dirt+Water+(you NOT fucking with it)= A happy plant.

Seriously man... It isn't that tough. You need to do some google image searches of seeds. A tap root emerges. It grows down while the cotlydon grow up. The plant then produces new growth above ground while the tap root searches as deep as it can go. It will take about a week, or more, before the roots begin growing horizontally. So until that point, the plant is really just a stem and a single long root. There is nothing to hold it in the ground and all the yanking you are doing is not keeping these seedlings alive.

This is honestly some easy shit. Like 5,000 years ago our ancestors were starting seeds no fucking problem. I guess it takes a public school to lose even the most primary human skills like agriculture.

Maybe these plants are from the planet Saturn where none of the plants have roots. Don't use shit to grow pot.
