personally i wouldnt bother with a screen, i believe in such a small area with a small number of plants you could benefit much just by LST. as for the perpetual issue, you may be able to find some help by changing the way you are planning on taking your clones. i would suggest doing something called "air layer cloning", which long story short will allow you to take larger clones by having the clones root while they are attached to the mother still. here is a very good tutorial on air layer cloning:

https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=88797

this method takes slightly longer, which may play into your favor, also you can take slightly larger clones as well, which should help your yield.

Thanks, I'm looking into it right now. (Air Layer Cloning)

As far as the screen goes, I want to keep the bud sites as even in height, and spread out, since I am using CFL lights for flowering. CFL lights do not penetrate enough to the lower bud sites. Maybe with practice, I can get LST to spread the bud sites evenly.

That sure is intimidating. I will continue to read, got me a little scared with this technique but def willing to try.

all you really have to do is use a small syringe, or turkey baster or something every now and then to keep the peat pucks moist and it will do its thing.

I have installed a 600 Watt HPS Light, Dimmable Ballast, and Air Cooled Hood.

Note: The temperature is much cooler than it was with all the CFL lights crammed together. With the CFL setup (400-500 Watts of CFL 2700K), The temperatures was always at 84 degrees. Now, with the air cooled 600Watt HPS with a 6" HO CanFan, the temperatureIMG_2.jpgIMG.jpg stays at 72 degrees, and the ballast is on high.

I could not fit the air cooled hood in there as I wanted to, so I have it diaganollay accros the area. It fits perfect.

The Air cooled hood is 18" inches wide but the flange on each side adds another 4" more inches total, 2" inches on each side.

That ducting on the left in the pic (in post #65) doesn't even look like it's connected to the carbon filter. I get it, though, you're still in the building stage, I guess.
Nice setup, though...looks good.

Yeah, I was just testing it out. And I needed new Ducting.

It's all connected now. Working good man.

Don't let anyone tell you that "a 600 watt HPS is not doable in a cabinet". I bet I can put a 100 watt and it will still stay cool, although that would be a waste lumens.

Hi and thanks for this thread! im currently building my growdrobe and there was lots of usefull info. +Rep!

I will forward you the link to my thread once its fully built and I start the thread.

I know im a little late, but on your question about additional lock without looking suspect, you could use a lock/latch on the top of the unit keeping the corner locked in aswell.

You could pretty much use any lock/latch setup you want :)

Thanks for the good advice. It works even better to tighten the doors and prevent light from entering.

Follow Up:

Everything went swell, just had to keep maintaining the growdrobe. It would leak light after some time (3 months or so). I guesss the wood on the wardrobe was shifting, warping, whatever it's called. I would just take away the old weather strip and replace it with some new ones.

The project had to stop: Don't ever try doing this with your wife, girlfriend. She will fuck this whole shit up. It doesn't matter how much she is involved, she will fuck it up! She will not care about police or anything elese when she is upset with you. Your crop or grow equipment will get fucked up when your partner flips on you. Try to do this on your own. Or with a partner that is 100% with you. Equally.

I smoked the best weed with this setup. Thank you RIU.

I wish you guys (RIU) would keep our post's private somehow, and not for the world to see. Anyone can just read my posts without even creating an account.
"This Sucks" RIU Please update your site and keeps things private (NSA rings a bell).

You guys suck for this. That is why i left. I Posted this comment just to let people know that this project was a success for great weed, even better than the highgrade i smoke around my area.

See you RIU and thanks for your site, Hope you will change your rules or just let people know that there information will be available for anyone to see, around the world, without even creating an account. UHH, so much people requested RIU to remove or keep private their posts but nothing still. You suck!
