Grafting??

anyone here a grafter? i heard of a PHD grafting together a strain called wicked sex. him and his friends smoking it are prolly the only ones that have heard of it but it was made by grafting a buncha kickass strains together and he makes 4 generations of clones and uses the 4th as a mother.

can someone explain why the 4th generation clones are the best

how does this even work? if you cloned a piece of a graft, wouldnt u just get a clone of the grafted piece and not the whole plant?

EDIT: Clones will be identical forever unless a mutation occurs, which is not something the average cannabis grower should be concerned with.

what about the grafting technique in general, is it something even used in the cannabis world?

Do a YouTube search for Marijuana Grafting. There is a video out there of a plant with something crazy like 8 different strains growing off one base. Kinda nifty. I can't think of any practical use for myself but its cool either way.

It's good if you follow plant count guidelines. Only one mother.

It's all good, wasn't trying to be a "USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION!" Nazi or anything. I just don't have the link handy and didn't feel like searching around

I have a buddy who claims it's possible to graft a hops plant and marijuana plant somehow creating a "vine like" pot plant. IDK if there's any science behind it or not. I googled it and couldn't find anything, but strangers shit's happened!

As I understand it you can graft marijuana tops to a hops bottom but it won't produce any THC. Going off memory here so I may be wrong.
