Help me grow

"Sog" set ups are pretty popular these days. You need 2 separate lights, at least. One for Cloning/mothers/vegging and one for flowering. For flowering, most people use HPS.

its a small closet id say 6 ft across i wanna split it in half if possible and i heard of putting aluminum foil or something reflective on the walls to help with the lighting but i just wanna no my options of lighting

Generally speaking, the larger your grow room, the more lumens you will need to maximize yield.

For a small 6 ft closet I would probably go with like a 400 watt MH/HPS setup.

Best bang for your buck would be to read others peoples grow journals with approx the same size area you have... its free!! And go to a hydroponic store and check out equipment.. free again,,, be sure to stick with the "im growing tomatoes" story... not that they care...its just proper etiquette ..

now this might sound stupid but im not looking to buy a whole lighting system thats gonna cost me a crzy amount of cash so is there alternatives like can i rig something up and get away with just buying a few different kind of light bulbs?

CFLs, but to buy enough to give good yield, but in the end will spend as much on those as you will a HID lamp, because you need a bunch of CFLs. The biggest reason to use CFLs are space mainly. How much do you have for a budget?

Start with CFLs, they are cheap, easy to hook up, and available everywhere. Once you realize CFL suck donkey balls compared to HIDs, you'll bite the bullet and buy an HPS set up. By then, you'll have run a few crops through your room, and you'll have a lot more knowledge.
