Do you have a scope to check the trich's? That is a good way to tell, and if 80% of your hairs are red and pulling back into the bud I would say you are ok to chop it down. What is the reccomended flower time? Pic's would also help, and also some info if you have it on what strain it is.

is it sativa or indica?sativa strains can take what seems like forever to flower.if your plant is still growing bud then i suppose your just going to have to let it do its thing.normally in the final few weeks the bud really fattens up,so maybe it still has a few more weeks to go.it would help if we could see a pic tho.

i think that may be whats happening, i think im just close to harvest so its going through that phase where it fattens up real rapidly. but idk im a newb

some plants can take up to 16 weeks, though 12 is more typical for long strains. Some sativas rarely stop, but aren't as desirable. Either way, I'd suggest a scope, and start watching trichs. You might have to chop when the bulk is ripe regardless of new growth. Strain really defines it but the typical range is 7-12 weeks, with as short as 6 weeks and as long as 16.
