or was it real bad?

every female, same day, more than 1/3 of the nodes. i REFUSE to work with a hermie prone line.

things should be done the natural way imo. i wouldn't want to fertilize myself to have a daughter.....:blsmoke:

truthfully, pot is the only plant that is not 100% hermaphroditic. i think it's that way for a reason. :blsmoke:

since most any strain can be stressed to herm though..

is that really true?

sorry to be hijacking the thread topic by the way...
yep, it is ;)

and yes, any strain can be stressed to herm. in fem seeds, a female resistant to stress techniques is used, to prevent hermies in the offspring. i think dp uses a reversed (hermie) male to make fem seeds, which imo sounds like the best way...

hermies make hermies.

So whats the likely hood of a plant you've grown from seed turning hermie.....A seed you picked out of your stash when no males were present?

Asking because I have seeds I found in my bud....and want to grow out.

What %?

it really depends. in my past experience running hermie beans, 1 in 4 was herm from the start, 1 more by mid flower, and another at the end. one stayed true.

on another run, i did 40 seeds, got 27 females. EVERY ONE OF THEM WAS HERMIE!!! so no more herm genes for me (btw, that was dutch passion's blueberry....)

i have never done this nor have i seen anyone do this but it definitly was interesting to read about.God bless everyone:peace:
i've done it, and it produced 3 of 8 tried perfect females; almost seed copies of the original. the other five put out banana's earlier than harvest time the next go round. still late in flower (7weeks), but this was a sativa, and was only halfway through at the time.

that's a nice article, one i've read, but also one that could help others. thanx for sharing ;)

take a look at the plant; not trimmed at all, all branches trained out. i got more off that plant than most do with ten in the same size area. every bud site developed a nice sativa bud. note i said sativa. o.0 hmmmm....

i don't recommend it to anyone though. it was a pain in the ass to keep it from falling, dangling, tipping etc.

stop picking on me.
