my clone's roots are sticking out the bottom of pot help!!

i have 16 clones each in 1 gallon pots and theyre about 8-10 inches tall. i dont know if i can transplant to bigger pots because i am working with a limited space, they have only been in veg for a week and 5 days and already the roots are starting to come out of the bottom of the pot where the drip holes are. im using a 600w hps and canna coco fiber medium. can anyone please advise me as to what i should do? should i be worried about this problem?

I would definately transplant, your plants will really start to take off, especially with a 600w light. I would try dutch square pots if your space is really limited, otherwise maybe setup a hydroponic system because they don't need as much space with a dry medium. Any pictures?

if you cant transplant cuz of room, its not going to hurt to just let it ride, they prbibly wont be all they can be but they will live

i think the problem with my roots is that it didnt spread around the whole pot, it just went directly down and starting to come out the bottom drip holes, i really cant transplant to a bigger pot but can i re-transplant them into the same pot but spread the roots out more? or should i fill up another pot 50% of soil and attach that to the bottom of the pot i already have

Just because roots come out of the bottom of the pot doesn't mean that the pot is full of roots and the plant rootbound.
Let them dry out a little and more roots will work their way through the soil mix looking for moisture.

In fact, if roots don't come out of the bottom of the pot then you may have a problem - the roots may not be developing as they should be.

If they show roots then you are sure the plant is healthy both above and below ground.

okay cool thanks a lot thats makes me feel a lot better, so the roots that are kinda sticking out of the bottom isnt a issue and i should let the roots be? will it affect the plant growth and vegging and flowering period? will the roots in the bottom find its way to all the unused soil spots? and by the way i noticed the roots coming out the bottom in the last 2 days,

Means they healthy dude where i come from u see that its a good sign time to tranplant its ready to keep exploding in growth. give it what it needs


EXCEPTION: if its not pot or root bound .. and your using a proper size container then dont worry about it.. one gallon for every month it will be alive if i remember corrrectly

You will know if you have been over watering when you transplant,sometimes the roots will go straight to the bottom of the pot without useing all the pot.This is caused if you are over watering far better to water once a week twice at most,but when you do water wet the plants through and then allow to dry out.By doing this the plant will send out new roots in search of water causeing you to have afar better root system,if you do have to water more than twice a week then it is prob that the plant is not in a big enougth tub,if it was in a good size tub then you would only have to water a couple of times a week.........................tyke....................................................

i have 16 blue dream clones, my pots i am using are 1 gallon, my clones are about a week and 6 days old, and they about 8 inches tall. i just dont know what to do with this problem, the only reason im stressing transplant is because im working with a limited space and im doing SoG method.


*** QUESTION!!- if i left the roots alone and let them just keep growing in my 1 gallon pot, will the new roots go through the unused soil because i feel that the roots just went straight down when i was watering them

They should be good with the space you have you can only do what ya can. Make sure they don't sit in water for long periods of time and if they are white and healthy they will be cool. Like your tag
