Well A.N. has a team full of PHD's & there nutrients are made specifically for cannabis. All you really need is a good base nutrient like sensi a/b, connoisseur a/b or if u want an organic base they also got "mother earth" (teas)

You can go with more stuff depending on your wallet. I usually just grab sensizym, SUB-culture ( not A.N. ) for the roots & maybe something else like bud candy & voodoo juice.

PHD's in marketing, am I right?
Exactly and +rep for that extremely accurate response.

AN will grow plants and if you don't mind getting raped on the price of your nutes, then they're the company for you. But understand that in no-way-shape-or-form will you get 'better' results with AN. To be honest, it wouldn't surprise me in the least bit if AN was paying those shops to plug their products. Like he said, marketing gurus.

I'm with you man. After I started growing with General Oganics line, I started buying AN 1 bottle at a time till I had them all. Then when it came time to start replacing bottles that were $100 per QUART I decided to try Technaflora's BC line of nutrients. Never did a side by side comparison but all three brands have grown pretty good weed. Hope my experience helps!

I kind of agree with you I think there base nutrients are pretty competitively priced. It's all the enhancers that will rack up the cost. I go end to end with Sensi A and B with great results. The only thing I use additionally is Cal-Mag because I'm using RO water. I've been thinking of doing some comparisons, probably CNS17 since its basically the cheapest.

Just about every nute line has "magic" juice for sale.

I have been running AN and they are great!!! However everyone knows they are costly. I would have to agree with homebrewer about them payin to get there name out there. They by far spend more money then any other on marketing. However they do make a good product. If your looking for bank for the buck you should read this....
https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/358562-dyna-gro-vs-general-hydroponics.html homebrewer did this side by side and it was awesome! +REP!!! I have seen a lot of sides by sides with GH and AN. Both are good and it really just depends on what you like and how you like to use em. If your just wanted to try a new thing I would go with the dyna gro. I agree with homebrewer on everything he has written including using dyna grow for a base, then add the additives that you want to use.

Yes you can add nutes to your soil mix but you really have to stay on top of it. If your planning on using Dyna gro or AN maybe think about using coco or something like that. You can grow the same way, you will just be able to control your nutes better. Hope that helps.

Hahaha. Pick up a copy of Rosebud, it's a AN advertising magazine with the occasional article.
Hah, so that's what that thing is - they've got a palletload of those in every shop in my area sitting next to the door getting all dusty and covered in dirt. I always wondered but never really had the time to pick it up. Makes sense though, good marketing, find the neglected segment of the population with massive disposable income and rachet it up for them with a lifestyle magazine.

Rosebud Magazine is your one source for everything hydroponics from wickedly effective growing Info to the lifestyle and freedom that surrounds it.
I can only imagine all the subscriptions flooding in from lettuce and basil farmers, pun intended.
