Rumour or Fact....????

Hi everyone,

Hopefully this is the place for this (sorry if it is inappropriate). Recently in Canada we have been hearing news that people in the Southern States have started to use a new derogatory word for Black people. They have been calling them 'Canadians'. Is this fact or fiction? I know that people in Paris have a disgusting habit of calling people that they don't like or that are not from their country 'Arab' like that is a bad thing. But now, not only are people looking for new ways to put down their neighbours but they are making it seem like it is bad to be either black or Canadian. I feel particularly bad for people who are both!!!

I am hoping that this is just a rumour and is not fact as this would truly be a sad time to live in.

Hoping this is not true and wanting to remind people (as many on this site surely know) we are all connected, we are all the same and there is only a 0.01% difference between the different races of the world (thank you Genome project).

That sounds pretty silly to me. Never heard of such a thing and come from Mississippi, and still have family there. Plus it doesn't really roll off the tongue, so probably false. It was probably just a rumor started by a bunch of filthy Canadians, just kidding.:mrgreen::mrgreen:

Never heard that. Plus one of my buddies is straight out of Calgary and he has never mentioned anything like that...

This has been something that people up here have been talking about with some (often dropped jaws) shock. Hopefully it will stop now that people are much more aware of it and know what they are now referring to.

Thanks for everyone's thoughts. I am glad to see that people feel that this is just as silly as we do. Can't we all just get along :mrgreen:

Yeah right,HAHAHEHEHOHO~LOL~. I calls it Bunk. Compared to the stuff I grew, my friends said it really didn't even get them high. Thats VIs homegrown that is. Bunk city.

back in my day we used to call blacks, texans... :P jk thats rediculouse... dont let it get to you... nobody likes texas, and they know that so their just trying to make themselves feel better

How did Texas get dragged into this? He just said southern states, that could be a lot.

OK, you brought it up, Big Guy. Here's the truth guyz ...

Med and I traded some of our wares when we met in Vegas two years ago. He took mine out of the container and held some perfectly manicured, perfectly cured, TrainWreck in his hand. His very first words were: "Gosh, what's all that crystally white stuff on it?" :mrgreen: I swear this is true. I opened his little gift container that he handed me ... and out fell some crumbly, dried to a crisp, light brown tobacco looking stuff that he claimed was White Widow. I didn't dare smoke it until I got home because I didn't want an embarrassing trip to the Las Vegas emergency room. Once home, I did try a little. Can you spell P-A-R-A-N-O-I-A? It was schwag, pure and simple.

I think Med has improved his growing skills since that Vegas meeting. Well, he must have because as he claims, he's getting two pounds per cycle off of a 250 watt lamp. :mrgreen:
