Of course. But for the price difference...you might as well get the 1000. Your plants will love you for it :) I also think the 600 watters usually come with a more flimsy hood which is what my 400w lights have. The 1000 watt systems come with ducted hoods for cooling and are just higher quality all around.

It's really only like 30 bucks cheaper to get the 600 instead of 1000. Go with 1000, I wish I did :)

i disagree slightly he is better off with a 600W and a 400w , better light coverage, closer to canopy , could leave option open for 2 op's or 1 veg room 1 flower room , not only this 1000w bulbs give off alot more heat , plus 1000w bulbs are spotted easily by the eye in the sky , incase you were doing anything illegal :p incase ............

Yes, they do get pretty hot. But if you hook up the 6" duct to the hood and exhaust it out of your room and add a couple fans, then it won't be a problem.

Like I said, I have (2) 400w lights right now and my room never goes above 85 with the door closed and the fans and exhaust on. I haven't really noticed a hit in my electricity bill either... all I know is that it's a lot cheaper than running my AC all summer! By about 100 bucks a month! I gotta watch that next year... :)

Yeah but buying 2 units would be really expensive. He was looking for best solution for a low price.

Though I do agree with you. 1 of my lights used to be my vegging light and then I decided to double up my lumen output in my flowering room. Now it's going to stay there and I need to invest in a vegging light again :(

ill maybe just go with the 400watter because im growing in this and it might get to hot

Based on that pic...no more than 400 watts, lol

I'm growing in a 5'x4'x8' room and it gets warm but not hot.

That pic would have been helpful :)

Peace bro :)

Haha, it's all good man.. my veg room is going to look similar soon. I have a 70w HPS, 100w CFL and a 65w CFL. They look stupid as hell and the room looks all janky when they're on....but it works and that's all that matters :)
