Proper breeding and stabilization can take years. This time frame is the biggest difference between different levels of breeders. Crappy genetics with many different phenotypes come from simple crosses. High quality, stable crosses with very few phenos, very low chance of hermaphroditism that grow predominantly females usually require a much longer and more complex breeding program.

Breeding that's at least as good as quality purchased seeds usually takes a great deal of time and effort.

If you have the time, there are two most important parts of breeding; trying different types of crosses and recording all of your data. You'll want to work on the smallest plants possible to increase turnover. For a serious breeding program, keep flowering males in a completely separate grow area in order to control exactly what is pollinated by what. Turn off the fans beforehand and you can pollinate different branches of a female with various males, tagging each branch. There are some techniques of using something like a tiny piece of clear plastic wrap or plastic bag to briefly cover pollinated sites, keeping the pollen from flying elsewhere before the seeds begin to form.

Another major part of breeding that should be mentioned is testing. Many examples of each cross need to be flowered to increase the chance of getting a female example of every phenotype. Some crosses of less determined breeders create phenos that no one ever sees because not enough plants were flowered before deciding to get rid of it. You also have to keep at least as many seeds as you grow out because you won't know a phenotype is good until after harvest, and then you have to find it a second time .

i would also like information on this subject. is there a link about advanced breeding, a good read with alot of good info? on things such as how to effectively bring out pheno's you like, how to stabilize a strain to minimize variations, etc.

I have read alot of advanced info on breeding and just finished stabilizing my own cross. Please send me a message so we can talk to each other over AIM or something if you are interested in asking any questions i may be able to help.

I read this book.. Its a good book, Its not really specific about alot of breeding. But he explains why it takes time, selecting parents and choosing the best genetics to cross. Its kinda like a basic intro into breeding information and understanding how it works. He doesn't really talk about natural feminzation process which alot of these seed breeders do to sell fem seeds which i find quite important! I have bred and stabilized my favorite Geno & Pheno types and have made a successful F3 stock. Please send me a private message for more convenient ways to talk about breeding if you want to answer your questions with my research efficiently.

black god sounds nice.. god bud is a beast imo. grape god is my main strain

your best bet to achieve what you want is to find a phenotype you like and backcross it, you will need to do this over three generations (but no more) & you will have seeds that are almost exactly like the mothet pheno. I warn you though, you are bottlenecking your genitics when you do this. Good luck. As a side note I have been working on a hybrid for over 8 years & still don't have it where I want it, but I'm close!
