Mass, you need to be checking the trichomes! THEY will tell you when she's ready for harvest. Get a 60/100 power scope, for around $10/12, and check the trich's for clear, cloudy/milky, and/or amber. I use an "Eye-Clops", pictured below. Also some pix of last year's trichomes from my grow. Good luck & good grow .......BB

I just checked the trichs on the BBG and the KK. Both are mostly clear with just a lil bit of white. My scope goes 60-100x magnification. Shouldn't be too much longer but I always let 'em go till they have 25-30% amber. I like the high better with a fair share of amber. The two WW's and the lil Exile I know have some time left but it won't be long now.

D.S.M. got me fired up when he started the whole thing by callin me a moron. I'm actually quite intelligent and both me and my wife are college grads. It's one thing to disagree with someone but the second he started the name calling I hung my maturity up on a hanger and started slinging mud back. It's bc I am polite and never get n2 arguments here that I refuse to back down. I'll be talkin shit in that thread till either "they" drop it (and thats bc they started it) or I get booted out. Its been a pleasure growin along side you CD. I think it would be really cool to meet some of the people I've become friends with here. I know ur pretty close to me. We should hook up and blaze our ladies together when they are harvested. Smoke some of both KK's and see how dif or alike they are. I'm on the east side in VB. Let me know if you know where VB is. Aren't you on the west side?

I got it as a freebie but def would not have been disappointed had I paid for it. There is a guy at the top of this page somewhere called SmellyTreez. If you look in his sig he should have a link to the KK he recently harvested. Looks amazing and he got over 5 ounces off the one plant.

Do the plants always kick out that "plant smell" when you harvest them, b4 curring back into a good smelling pot? For example; If you were to smell my KK now as it sits it has a dank-ass-fuel smell to it. IMO it's a very desirable smell and I def hope that's what the end product ends up smelling like or at least some variation of it. Today for the first time this grow I snipped my first lil bud off the bottom of the KK. Almost immediately the smell I just described was taken over by the undesirable "plant smell". Which brings me right back to my question: Do they always do that when you chop 'em. It's always happened to me in my previous grows (which were much smaller and done with plenty of mistakes) so I was lookin for some feedback from some of yalls experiences. How long should it take b4 it gets back to smellin like some dank too?

Here's a couple lame attempts to take pics through my lil scope. You can't really trust the appearence of the trichs color in these pics cause of lighting and the flash going off but here they are. These are from the lil KK bud I snipped. All trichs on both the KK and BBG are clear to cloudy. I'll chop 'em when I see 5-10% amber. Won't be long now! Also, I did smoke the lil bud I took and yes it gave me a good buzz. I am def happy with how this is going. Thanx so much for everyones help. I never coulda got this far w/o it.

Just flicked through this journal and it looks like it has turned out really well and this black magic booster is sweeeeet. How did the molasses turn out? would u recommend using it on my first grow?

I would def recomend using it. on top of the rush of carbs it will give ur plants it will also serve the same purpose as Cal-Mag as it has Ca and mg in it as well. Some people use up to 2 tsp I believe of molasses. That seems a bit much to me. I use a half tsp of molasses and half the reccomended dose of Cal-Mag. I kinda split the difference.
