no that's your opinion.......and if noobs want accurate info they should read up on phytochrome....it's in most good grow books...and for that matter read good text on cannabis horticulture..and botany......light cycles are not just light cycles they effect the plant...we put plants into a bloom room of 12/12 for a reason...
yes because that is the best photo licgt cycle to ACTIVATE the phytochromes. that dosent mean they have reached full effect and make the plant produce flowers the first day you change a fucking timer dumb fuck.
find some accurate information on your belief. till then its a belief because all the other data everywhere else except for you mis understood fucking readings cannot be linked to to show us the "TRUTHS" you so claim

this is not an opinion; this is a fact. it has nothing to do with what i think, but what actually happens in reality.

i've been making green things emerge from the ground for over 25 years babe; i think you're the one in need of some reading and botany schooling ;)
you don't even know what phytochrome is...have you ever heard of auxin?...babe:peace:

this is what I'm talking about right here...pre-flowers don't happen in 12/12..they happen in veg...and you should not be putting immature plant's into 12/12...pre-flowers are a sign of maturity not a sign that flowering has started...they while show in 24 hours of light during veg......
since you're so well read, you obviously know of a site called icmag. go there, and search for a grower named growdoc. find his threads and read them.

then come back here and tell us what you're saying now.

and btw, you're making yourself look awfully dense by putting words in our mouth. you're twisting what we say and it's doing nothing but hurting your side of the argument...

I think you may be talking about stem and new growth sites in veg?

drop the GODDAMNED topic of preflowers.
ANY plant is in flowering when hairs show.
if they are ALREADY showing when you turn them on 12/12 then THAT is the first day simply because the flowers are SHOWING.
so a plant that is on 12/12 for 3 weeks and has no hairs isnt flowering untill it actually gets flowers

jeez all the name calling......you want the proof...read the indoor bible by Jorge Cervantes....pre-flowers are a sign of maturity it doesn't mean the plant's in the flowering cycle until you switch to 12/12....this activates the phytocrome...know you can't see the changes right away even if your plant has pre-flowers or not...regardless as soon as the plant gets 12/12 a chemical change happens within the plant and it begins the flowering cycle....it's fact....damn

what happens IF YOUR PLANTS AREN'T PREFLOWERING WHEN YOU PUT THEM ON 12/12?

they continue to veg until they put out preflowers.

jorge is backing me up. why can't you see that?

no any plant is not in flowering when it shows hairs...i have plants in veg right now with hairs all over them...they are in veg..they will be in veg another 2 weeks...they will be flowering when i put them in 12/12....I'll move them from the veg room to the bloom room...it's simple....

I can't believe that does not make sense to you

By putting it in 12/12 you are forcing it, lol. Come on now. Yes you may have them before you switch the light but if not that is one reason to go to 12/12.:peace:

let ME try to make some sense for YOU.

you start some seeds. they grow. you veg for 12 weeks, and all develope preflowers. you cut your males and are left with three females. all have preflowers. but, they are in veg.

you take those three, and put them in the flower room on 12/12. the first "day" is their first day of flower.

HOWEVER....

you start more seeds. they grow, you veg for three weeks, and none have preflowers. you put them in the flower room. they dont flower, they just continue to grow. no hairs, no balls, just growth. then, two or three weeks later, you see hairs, and balls.

THAT IS WHEN FLOWERING STARTS.

can you see the friggin difference now? jesus christ!

ok to end the b/s with this dunb fucker
a plant is flowering when.
A) it is showing preflowers in veg, and you switch to 12/12. THEN that plant is thus flowering @ that moment BECAUSE IT ALREADY HAD PRE FLOWERS.

B) a plant that is 2 nodes tall and only a mass of green is flowering when you switch it to 12/12 and it then starts to gain PREFLOWERS some time after the 12/12 regime. the day that those prefowers form is flowering for those circumstances
end of story NO OTHER POSSIBLE OPTIONS

ok i believe what kp is saying that you're not getting is..............

*drum roll please*

that if a plant has not shown sex.

and u put into a flowering light cycle.....

even though u have put it in a 12-12 light cycle....

if no preflowers have shown........

then its not "flowering" yet.....

once the preflowers begin to show.......

you're flowering baby!!.......

but......

its not flowering.......

until it shows sex.......

get it?

for instance

grab a seed.....

sprout it....

grow it for 2 weeks......

put into flowering light cycle (12-12).....

is it flowering??????

NOPE.......

cuz its not sexually mature......

once it is sexually mature.......

preflowers will begin to show......

at this time.....

You are flowering, and can begin to count your "flowering" days

uhh...that's not what my jorge book says.....

it says always wait to induce flowering until after preflowers appear, iducing flowering with 12/12 before pre-flowers develop will stress the plant.......he also says flowerng a plant before pre-flowers show will not speed flowering but that flowering will occur about the same time as if waiting....that's right from the book..I can scan the page..regardless the plant flowers in about the same time slowed down slightly by the stress of being flowered immaturely....says nothing of continuing to veg....:blsmoke:

and you're going to take that book as the bible? meaning you CAN'T flower before they show preflowers?

how do you think the cfl growers do it? what do you think a sog is?

 this is starting to get really funny
