Grow tent questions

Hey all, me and my buddy are doing our first grow pretty soon and were just looking for something small that is easy to conceal. After looking for a while we found the Growlab GL40 tent, very small and not that expensive, It is only 1'4" x 1'4" x 3'11". I'll post the link.

My question is, what kind of lighting would be enough for just a few 2-3 plants, but not be to powerful to become a fire hazard because this is such a small space. Would i be able to fit a 150watt HPS/MH system in here? or is that too much. We were looking into a 400watt MH/HPS switchable system which is what we would like to get, but feel that is much too much heat for that little space. Were new to this so any suggestions regarding this setup would be awesome.

you can def. fit a 150 watt.. just make sure u have good exhaust and fresh air coming in.

I got 3 zips off a 250w CFL in a space almost identical to that, I would not even think about putting an HID in there.

if you buy a tent buy one thats got the silver mylar insides the white pvc type insides are toxic to you and your plants as they put off toxins when light hits the white pvc

thats a link to htgsupply, i got my tent from them, its built a little cheaply, but thats because they are cheap. might find a cheaper one here man. good luck with the grow

i don't know much about CFL compared to MH/HPS, do they work the same? can u use one from start to finish veg&flower? im just unfirmiliar with it since its my first gro, thanks!
