Help knowing flow rate on DIY Co2.

I'm getting ready to set up a 5x5x6 tent with a DIY yeast/sugar Co2 set up, I'm pretty sure I need my flow rate to be about .01-.02 cubic feet per hour.
I was wondering if any of you could help me figure my flow rate using a bubble counter through a 1/4 inch o.d. tube.

thanks.

good fresh air would you just as well. it's a real pain in the ass to keep y/s setup going. and you don't need it at all in the dark.

thanks but you don't know the set up and fresh air would not do just as good. the atmospheric co2 level is 389ppm and a grow rooms optimal co2 is 1500ppm. yeast and sugar set up is very easy to maintain and costs about $10 per grow, also if i know to use co2 and how many cubic feet per hour i need, don't you think i'd know that plants put off co2 at night?

sorry but it's a pretty direct question and you didn't even come close to answering it.

What ever.. At least your not messing with bottled co2. Plants don't put off co2 even in the dark. atmospheric c02 varies on conditions. More population more co2. I would like to see your diy setup. I've never seen one that works and is not a pain in the ass. Sorry about not answering
I've never seen a flow meter that would work for what you want. You could get a balloon and watch to see how long it takes to fill, but I'm not sure if you would get enough pressure to make it work. Might get a mylar ballon 1cf I think that would work best. just got a little info. you could get a room monitor either fixed or hand held chem or infra-red. down side is cost 800-1500. hope some of this helped a little.

1st.. i would much rather have bottled co2 with a regulator and timer, but it's not possible for this grow. 2nd.. "plants don't put off co2 even in the dark" uh... yeah they do, they only put co2 off in the dark because there is no light for photosynthesis... co2 can not be converted to sugar and oxgen then binds with glucose and is expelled from the plant as co2. 3rd.. the flow meter is the bubble counter thats why i asked the question.

i appreciate your intensions, but i'm looking for a more direct answer, not what you would do instead.
if your interested in how my set up is i will post a journal later 5x5 tent 1000watt bullshark, mama mia, phatt fruity and sage n sour grow.

You can't control the flow because w/ a sugar and yeast mix because it varies to widely from temps, ratio of yeast to sugar, and a lot of other variables. It would not be cost or time effective to figure out a formula or system for controling DIY co2. If you have good airflow than you don't need to worry about co2 at all, and in fact with any type of airflow your co2 gets sucked out of the growroom and even bottled co2 is a waste. I use bottled co2 only in the winter months when I can't vent my room and I set the flow meter at .5 for 15 min on and 15 min off and to be honest yield is only slightly better than w/ out co2. Don't waste your time w/ DIY co2.....

I would like to see your set up. In no way am I trying to flame you on this. As far as bottled C02 I just have a major pet peve with anyone using it in there home or closed areas. Co2 is a very deadly gas. even a small leak in a sealed room can cause toxic levels very fast. I don't think you'll find anything to do what you want. That's why I suggested the balloon. You could hook your s/y up to the balloon and time how long it takes to fill. Then you would have at least a rough idea of how much co2 your putting out. Back to my first post. This topic has been around for awhile. You sound kind of new to growing and until you have everything else dialled in co2 levels are the least of your worries. Not real sure what got us going on the dark. Plants don't use co2 in the dark and you can't turn off the s/y so your co2 is wasted in the dark.

mixing more than one bottle with the same formula and switching out on a rotation can keep a pretty constant flow of co2 with valves, where the bottles are held the temp will remain the same within 5 degrees this is a cge room, NO FRESH AIR. i have epilepsy so i can invest all day everyday to this, it is only temporary untill i can get a real set up anyway.

simple question.... not answered. i'm not looking for opinions on what you would do.

a ballon, no.... a one gallon bag yes... but i DO NOT need to know my flow rate, i need to know how many bmp from .176 i.d. tube at .02 cfh

i sound new to growing? i think if you read my original post again it's not a question someone new to growing would ask, i'v read some of the topics you started. and i can tell you now i have way more experience doing this than you do. i started growing pot when i was 16, stopped at 28, and now that i am a legal michigan medical cardholder i am starting again.
