you're welcome. you might try some miracle grow organic soil and mix plenty of perlite in it. i didn't care for it. i use the regular miracle grow potting soil mix with nutes already added but it not even close to being organic.

Without a doubt, Fox Farm Ocean Forest -- I've used Miracle Grow and other 'Walmart' brand soils...it's just not the same. Never will be. And getting the right soil is SOOOO important.

fox farms is a good choice but you can buy 3 bags of mg for what it will cost you for 1 bag of ff.

Well price shouldnt matter if you care about your end product cause itll most likely pay for itself :D

Yes, because it is cheaper soil. I've never had better looking plants than with FF Ocean Forest. I know there are other soils and some great recipes, but I've been so impressed that I'm scared to do anything else again!

I've not tried mixing the light warrior as suggested in kevin's post, but it feels like sound logic. I actually may try that. I will say that I've also found that whatever soil you use, adding some dolomite lime to each pot will keep the pH in the right area.

in another thread you were talking about getting 3 zips out of a dirt plant? here's a mg grown plant and the top bud was damn near 3 ounces.

tell me again why i should pay triple for fox farms to get the same results? i get an easy 8 ounces out of my dirt plants.

Wow. What ferts/additives are you using? How big of a pot are you growing in to get those monsters?

I'd say for beginners, Ocean Forest is a no-way-to-lose choice-- that is all!

A few batzhes ago I mixed light warrior and ocean forest and didn't like it. I used botanicare karma, soil bloo, hydroplex, n great white . they had to be watered more> 2 months of curing the smell is barely coming out. taste not to good. my most recent batch I used the same nutes and only ocean forest on with same strains and they turned out awesome. So personally i don't like light warrior

that plant was grown in mg organic soil under a 1000hps. if you use the mg organic you need to put a bunch of perlite in it. i used it the one time and didn't like it because if you let it dry out it is hard to rehydrate, the drainage sucks. i'm using the mg potting soil mix with a bit of perlite mixed in and having great results. there are several good threads on mg grows if you look for them. don't let the mg haters scare you and you will be growing some pretty little girls before you know it.
