that is my thread
I am just on my 3rd grow at the moment, but the last vegged and made it to about 4 feet. I didnt start pruning until they flowered. Just basically trimming away near buds. As far as training I havent done much, nor am I that familiar. I have a guy who has a ton of clones, so I just drop them right into my system, keep my ppm around 900, and let the dwc do the work for me.4 may yield more but how big are you vegging your 8 and are you doing any pruning/training at all.
cool bro i will jump on there looks good from what i skimmed through.that is my thread
ok well thats a pretty good height for some indoor plants i would try them a little smaller start flower around 1-1.5 feet tall and lollypop them basically in weeks 2 and 4 of flower eliminate any branches that will not see light from your 1000 this will concentrate its energy on producing larger flowers at the canopy where it obviously counts. now this also may be a strain thing some strains dont yield allot if you want high yields aim for high yielding genetics.I am just on my 3rd grow at the moment, but the last vegged and made it to about 4 feet. My first grow where lowryders so that was half the problem, 2nd grow were white widows. PH Im definitely keeping it below 6. My water is just tap, what is RO or CalMAG? I was under the impression as long as the PH is where it needs to be the water doesn't matter. I am using a growlab tent, so my water stays about room temperature, while inside the tent is in the mid 80s. Can you please explain the "RO and adding CalMag" part.Question number 1, what strain are you growing? Sounds like that might be part of the problem. You might just have some bad genetics. Order some seeds, look for something that's known for high yields like Chronic, Critical Mass, Big Bud, LA Woman, The Church or Power Plant.
What nutrients are you using? Though 900 ppm of any decent nutrient line should be fine.
Are you keeping your ph levels between 5.5 and 6.5?
What are you using for water? If its RO are you adding CalMAg?
What are your temps? 60 at the lowest when dark, 85 at the highest when lights are on.
RO is Reverse Osmosis water and Calmag is a prouct that supplies Calcium and Magnesium. RO water doesn't have any Calcium and Magnesium in it after its filtered, so its a good idea to supplement with CalMag when using water that has been thru a Reverse Osmosis (RO) system. My first grow where lowryders so that was half the problem, 2nd grow were white widows. So wait you have one 4 gallon plant under one 1000 watt light? That seems pretty intense. Why dont you scrog then? Wouldn you yield more if you did that? Also do you know how people tie the plant during the scrog method. I read that you can use plastic grocery ties to hold the plant to the scrog screen. Have you actually done this?I have 4 gal. individual dwc tubs under one 1000W light and recently cut back to four plants. waay better all the way around for tons of reasons.. one being that the only really effective lighting area is not much bigger than 4 X 4. ive been working with this for the last few months and thats what ive come to.
i went with a scrog screen four or so times too but have now gone to just letting them grow trimmed but naturally. it's so much easier and with the tubs free to move you can posiition the plants any way you want wihtout hassle. supercropping works great for controlling the canopy and i have a super slick way to keep them upright when they get heavy.
passing on the info because im soo happy with this setup after trying lots of others. individual tubs that you can move. good growing.
No - Four plants under one 1000w. 1 lb. per harvest is a conservative estimate of yield, depending as always on veg time.So wait you have one 4 gallon plant under one 1000 watt light?
