my FREE grow box [made from scratch]

here some pics of the grow box im in progress of building. i still need more, wood but all the wood ive used so far i got at a furniture store that was breaking every thing down and tossing it out, and i got lucky and drove by it stopped and got all the wood i could fit in my car.

i was thinking about using some plexi glass on the front and top then putting plywood woors over that, since it will be outside so i can also use it as a greenhouse when its sunny and then closing it up at night and also i have one cfl in there with tho 100w soft whites when its cloudy. is this a good idea or should i just use one or the other ??

Are those 100watt cfl's ACTUAL watts? If they aren't, that is whats important. The actual watts. Also, CFL's are ok for seedlings, but for vegging and flowering I highly reccomend HID lights. You can get a 150 watt HPS with enclosed ballast(sunsystem) for around 70 bucks. And the heat is not too bad. Although if cfl is all you got to work with, all isn't lost. I grew some quality LR#2 from straight CFL's.Low quantity though.

The box is looking great. One thing though...you've got that plant in a big pot. Which means its gonna get real big. Too big for that small box. You need a smaller pot or bigger box. If anyone disagrees speak the fuck up.

yeah you need to get some bigger lights in there u can ge the 150 watt hps or u can just get the 68 watts cfls for 15$ at home depot. if money isnt tight for yah get the 250 watt switchable balast. and use the cfls u have now for the babies.

but so far they look really nice for having that much light i gotta admit..

yes the big girl is out side most of the time and its gonna be greenhouse like, with plexi glass on the front and top with doors to cover at night the lights arte just backup when its rainy/cloudy

ok is it safe to transplant to a pnaller pot now its so big i dont wanna kill her

Pretty nice but you will need more light for flowering
