now you feel you know what i think. as if i'm afraid to admit it myself.

twisted.
sorry about that.

rephrase: you're right, you never qualified it with "just".

that was only what you typed.

(to be fair, it is impossible to type coherent thoughts without some type of thought process)

i honestly felt you would get what i meant. i had no desire to separate one group of gays from the other. gay women, gay men, whatever. gay is as gay does.

i might be a little off this morning. couldn't sleep at all last night from the back pain.

i wouldn't do that to such a kind and caring individual such as yourself.

i'll be happy to fix it, but you'll have to point out the insult first.
now i have to explain "attempt" to you?

dude, you got no game. you can't even stay on topic.

says the guy who never explained how gays getting married would "change" his marriage.

this game can go round and round.
where did i ever say gays would have any effect on me?

you make up shit just so you have something to argue about.

twisted.

i never stated anything other then "gays appear to be whiny to me". that's it. that's my opinion on ALL of this. anything else is simply assumptions on your part.

and by the way, i never made any attempt to insult you. that was never my intent.

if you felt like what i was saying to you was insulting, you need to look within, as only you can know why.

when marriage was "invented", it was invented with the intent of where it stands today. why are gays so insistent on changing that?

you said they would "change" marriage. you being married and all, that means your marriage would be "changed".

i don't believe i just 'made shit up'.

gee,

twisted.

i never stated anything other then "gays appear to be whiny to me". that's it. that's my opinion on ALL of this. anything else is simply assumptions on your part.
i guess i just assumed you said gays would "change" marriage.

people who want to deny gays marriage equality appear whiny to me. that's not my opinion on all of this, but a part of it.

Serapis needs to go back a few pages to find out who started flinging the poo, unclefuck is no longer worth responding too...
His location under his avatar says enough about him for me...
By all means, fap away there cha chi...

Here's a novel idea for ya:
If unclefuck actually had a girl in his life, he might not even need to fap at all. And, he could be rid of all of his pent up anger and emotions; and perhaps even in a meaningful, and wholesome relationship for a change.
Yes, having a good woman by your side can do that for ya, if you would just give it a try.
i'm married, genius.

to a woman

Which I think is fine.....I mean they are gay after all(insert pun) If that is what they need to stop whining why not give it to them. I think it is so hypocritical of us to preach the all mighty virtues of marriage and all its tradition only to turn around and make it what it is today for the majority of straight people....Which is a crap shoot at best....Besides wouldn't gay divorce court be funny?

Just as funny and entertaining as divorce court is today....

this guy does not seem whiny to me.

he seems well-spoken and intelligent.

the people telling us why gays should not be able to get married seem whiny to me.

absofuckinglutely
that's not a very good point. when marriage was "invented" the life expectancy was about 30. "till death do us part" equated to maybe 5 years, which barely constitutes monogamy. if those people had to live another 20 years with the same person i assure you their image of marriage would have been MUCH different. to quote their ideals as "proper marriage" is more than a bit silly.

If there was no legal upside to getting married would gays even bother to do it? Is the argument over the institution of marriage as an act of commitment and love or the legal privileges that government has given married couples? OR is it just Moral and religious grounds that need to be changed? Which is it?

yes

Is the argument over the institution of marriage as an act of commitment and love or the legal privileges that government has given married couples?
i see it as a basic civil rights and equality issue, so a little bit of both in my view.

i would not settle for the legal privileges without the official title to go with it.

OR is it just Moral and religious grounds that need to be changed? Which is it?
not sure.

but i find it morally reprehensible that the iowa legislature is trying to reduce the number of rights that gay couples have. how does that benefit anyone?

i know you stand with me, so you don't have to answer that if you don't want. we can let the anti-gay crowd tell us the benefits of stripping away rights.
