Would this be enough lighting for two plants?

Hey everyone, new member and happy to be part of the forums. I had a couple of questions before I start my first grow. Would http://www.1000bulbs.com/product/8257/FC105-S50MOGOD.html be enough light for the Vegetative Stage or would I need a couple? I only plan to grow 2 plants to start out, and once I start flowering I'll add 6x42w CFLs (2700k spectrum). Would it be okay to keep the 105w CFL on the plants throughout the grow? Also, any suggestions on what size grow area would would be ideal for 2 plants? Thanks for any input!

I grew a decent sized plant with 3x 20w red spectrum cfls. If you use all the lights at once you'll have enough for sure.

With CFL's more is better. It depends on how tall you want to veg them for. A CFL has next to no penetration past your canopy so you will need side lighting once your plants get going. That bulb will probably do the job for 3-4 weeks after they pop dirt but after that you will need more. JMHO

On mine(if my goddam seeds germ... It's been 4 days . ) I'm growing a white widow and power skunk and I'm usin about 200ws but to help the light penetration and cause I don't have the height I'm LSTing the plants. Just thought I'd throw that in. Good luck.

Due to space, I want them to be about 20-24 inches tall. Would you suggest I get more of the 105w or a few more 42w? Maybe in the future I'll be able to get the 600w HPS I want, then not have to worry as much about it lol

If you want a good grow bud keep on this site and read as much as you can! This place is full of info and people that are willing to help! Gl on that grow and if you read your ass off in here your grow will go good! Oh and one last peice of advice is don't go cheap on soil, and get a PH meter for your water! I recommend Fox Farm Ocean Forest!

Very good suggestion! LST is a great way to get the most out of your CFL's! That way you can get your lights right on top of those lil pigs!

Yeah you can pop your beans right in there it isn't to hot for them, and for your first grow I would recommend FF nutes also! don't get all crazy reading other posts and start adding different nutes! For your first grow KEEP IT SIMPLE! PH your water, FFOF soil is self regulated to 7.0, and when you start adding the FF nutes start off at 1/4 recommended nutes and slowly move up from there. Keep your room clean, and pay attention to your plants. If you follow that brotha and do your homework you should be good! Soon you will be bumping up to some HID lights! Sell half of what you grow and buy more growing supplies! Before you know it you will be growing some killer trees!

Okay well I think I figured out what I wanna do. Probably going to try a PC grow, friend of mine is going to give me an older tower that I can tear into. Also did a few hours of research on LST and going to go with that, doesn't seem too difficult and would help a lot. Can't measure the case yet so I'm not sure how many lights I'll be able to fit in there safely. Considering the 105w on the top and a couple of side lights. Any thoughts on the lighting?
