Homer's 2nd Cfl Grow: Amnesia Haze x G13 and Blue Cream (Pics and +Reps)

So you've had a full day in 12/12, Show us the 13" kolas already! Geeze!! Haha, you're gonna be a week behind me, so hopefully harvest will be around the same time. Why don't you live in SoCal, damnit, i need people to budswap and start a seed collection with...lol

dude i'm gonna need a few more minutes to get those 13 inch colas ready, just give me some breathing room bro!!! lol... look forward to following your grow too man, and who knows if one of us travels north or south, we'll plan a bud swap, that would be sweet! oh yeah, the belt & duct tape, probably not the safest set up... i'll need to upgrade in the few days... also have to figure out how/where to add 1 or 2 more cfls to each plant, so that's my next project.

hell yeah man.. i luv how you have that sativa under control... good to see it working for ya... i strongly believe in the dark period thing... i think i went with 36 hours of dark before flowering and 24 at harvest... with the lights bein on at night, its prolly something i.ll do... its keep odor control down during the day with the fans off and what not... just something i noticed last grow.. i didnt hardly smell anything at night, but my wife complained about the odor being outta control during the day.. just a thought.. i may have my mother box going most of the day, and flowering box on at night... who knows...

thanks micro! i considered doing the "night on" thing, but the i wanna keep smell low at night, because the room is sort of a guest room in our apartment, so i want it to be odor free especially at night. so far the true air thing (cd recommended) is working pretty well, as long as the closet door stays closed. and for sure i will do an extended dark period before harvest, and i will prob also do a shorter final flush than last time (1 week instead of 2 weeks).

and thanks for the props on the sativa. i'm very happy with how low i've been able to keep both girls. tonight or tomorrow i'm gonna untie everything and tie them back down more efficiently. i don't want to do much more bending beyond that, now that the girls are on 12/12... i want to let the colas grow vertically to their full splendor

hell yeah.. got you on it being the guest room... i.ll prolly flp between times depending on what the temps are gonna run... that was the only thing that got me last grow... that box stayed at just about 92 degrees the whole time... i think imma switch out 3 of my 2700.s for some 6500.s... that should lower temps a hair... lol... its a never ending journey with these things... lol...

yeah, maybe on my summer grow i'll do the ol' switcharoo so the temps stay more even. right now that's not a problem in moderate norcal. and man i hear you about the never ending journey. i can't tell what's more addictive, growing or keeping up with this website? lol... either way, smoking comes in at a distant third!

Here are my ladies. I did some leaf & bud site adjustment this morning. Loosened some ties, tightened others. No trimming at all. I may not have done an exact circle crop, but I think I succeeded in covering the area of the pot several bud sites and kept everything as low as possible.

Also, I'm thinking of buying a grow tent. I've found a bunch on buy . com and amazone for under $90... one I like is 32" x 20" x 63" (a bit taller than i want, but the only shorter one I can find is 24" x 24" x 48" which is kind of an awkward shape for two plants). Anyone have good/bad experiences with tents?

Hey everyone, big changes tonight...

12/12 begins!

here's the new lighting scenario:
- two 24-watt T5 bulbs at 3000k
- two 24-watt cfls at 2700k
- two 24-watt cfls at 6500k

total 144 watts, like my first grow. will probably add at least two more cfls (2700k) later.

yesterday's trim job did wonders for the new growth! i'll post pics soon. right now it's past their new bedtime, shhhhh... lol, so stoned right now.

happy grows everyone, hope to be reporting on some new bud sites very soon!

thanks blunt. well, you can definitely take clones during flowering although it takes longer to root... it's called monster cropping i think, "smellytreez" did it with great success. and if the plant is lst'ed i don't think that would make much of a difference, maybe just harder to find the right branch for it. but if you have the choice, take clones before flowering . peace bro.

My girls ended up about 10 inches from the top lip of my pot. I would say that if you stop now, all of your growth from here on out will be vertical. What you have done is make multiple colas that will grow from each flowering site. LST is an awesome tool.

thanks arch! right now the girls reach to about 4 inches above the top of the pot.... if they go up another 10 inches, i'm still in my comfort zone.. the main thing is having most of the bud sites / colas at the same height for easier lighting. man this stuff is so engulfing.

in other news, i got a super cheap box today (21" x 24" x 34"-Height). right now the girls are un-housed in the closet, so the box will probably help with smell issues... i'll be setting it up this weekend with stuff i have lying around... if it works, i'll share the details!

and the girls looked amazing today. no pics, but trust me. i gave them a nice feeding of all sorts of stuff... veg nutes, bloom nutes, molasses, ph-up just for the hell of it, lol.

Sweet, not only will it probably help a little with the smell, but you can line that shit with reflective material and increase your spread of lumens!!! Hopefully you won't have any heat issues, but I'm looking forward to seeing what you cook up. Keep yer thumbs green!
