Whole Plant Hash

I am considering taking a harvest and devoting the whole thing to hash.
Has anybody done this?
My thought is to trim off the fan leafs and and then just chop up the buds and sugar leaves. Throw them in the freeze and make my bubble.
I would keep a few big colas but by in large would rather smoke melt.
Did you find that buds process better green or dry?
Is there any need to separate the leaf and bud?

From what I understand you want to dry the material before processing. Trichromes harden up durring the drying/curring process and once hardened are of a more uniform shape. There is a chance that the trichromes on green bud will deform and not fit through the finer bubble bag screens (not to mention they are a bit stickier and might stick to the bag). Not sure if it applies here but I know with hash oil that greener material contributes more chlorophil to the end product which can negatively effect taste. Chlorophil is broken down when the plant material is dried.

Im about to do the same w/ two shishkaberry. I've been wondering if I should run the buds through separately and then run all the trim through....
I think I would do separate runs.
I would definitely freeze GREEN though. When the material is dry it has a tendency to get pulverized and turn your hash green. The trichomes will break off easily if they have been frozen.

i decided i will devote a whole plant to hash one of these days, as soon as i have a little stock piled so i can afford to do it. some people may say its a waste but i fucking love hash so i think it would be well worth it.

Not trying to be a dick or say my way is better, but I am curious as to what your logic is for this.
I honestly don't know, as I've always frozen my hash-makings, but Im curious what your opinion is.

i've used whole buds and leaf in my bubble bags once..

i use whole buds with my trim leaves every time, all the smallest buds get thrown in the hash pile....just never done it with a whole plant worth of buds.

So where you please? Was the quality better than sugar leaf? How was the yeah? Did you leave the bud whole or break up the bigger buds? Green or dry?

no, it doesn't. Trichomes are oil. Ice cold temps turn oil brittle, not drying

If you 're making hash w/ a solvent, like iso, you want it dry to aid in the evaporization process

If you're making bubble hash you want the material pliable so the agitation (or for some, beating) doesn't pulverize the leaf
