large PC Grow 70whps cool tube LST

using 2 fans for the cool tube with a 70w hps lookin at adding some cfls or possibly leds

have 2 80cfm fans exhausting the grow area with a active carbon between 2 screens

looking to do some LST with some autoflower seeds
gunna do about one plant maybe two just for little bit of personal use.

I have had the box on for about an hour looking at temps of 70 F
humidity 42%

still have some cleaning up to do with the wiring and need to fill the screen all the way up with active carbon, but just doing some testing for now

Looks good. I didn't even know they made 70Wers. If your looking for help choosing a strain may I suggest Lowlifes Auto Hindu Kush, or Short Stuffs Blue Himalayan Diesel. Buddy grew both and was pleased with the results. I've seen it and wish I could smoke it. I may just tweak your design for a nice little stealth starter box. Do you know from previous experience if that carbon in the screen will work for smell or are you just trying it out for the first time? well it is active carbon, and it is placed in front of the exhaust fans should work like any other active carbon filter.
there are various threads on hear about DIY active carbon filters.

They are sold at home improvement stores as area lights; the ballast and bulb socket only can be bought on the internet for much cheaper (~$25 for the ballast and $10 for the bulb). Usually they come in 50w 70w 100w version.

What did you use for your cool tube? Will you take a picture of the side angled from the back of your case with the lights and the pot you plan to use, I am curious of something? How many plants are you gonna grow in there?

Looks real good so far, nice work!

I used a Pyrex bake-a-round.
I would like to do 1 or 2 auto flower plants form seed. Starting the first one then waiting a month and a half before seeding the other.
Also planning an LST.
I dont have the soil yet or the pots but I pan on using some type of Tupperware, that will fit at the bottom of the case

just keep in mind you do not have much height, so get a tupperware container that is long and flat so it doesnt interfere with your height all that much. You could probably do 2 if you get the right containers.

is that regular duct tape on the cool tube? if so i would change it to the crome tape. I think the duct tape will get soft from the heat.
