Bag seed vs. ordered seed

alright, so I know that ordered seed have there perks, obviously feminised, but I want to know how many of you have had results with bag seed. pics more than welcome, just wondering if it would be worth my time, money and risk of getting ripped off ordering or if I could get good results from just bag seed.

I have no personal experience with bag seed but I've seen cases where some really nice bud has come from bag seed.

The only downside is you don't know exactly what to call it. :blsmoke: (and it could be schwag)

kidding, yeah its something I've thought about, but just getting a steady crop is first on the agenda.

from back when... like if you have 5 years worth of seeds, some of them might be good! I had a neighbor give me his whole collection from the last 7 years, and have had 100% germ rate. not only that but I have 1 female that is doing incredible and looks to be some dank indica,, you can then CALL IT WHAT YOU WANT that's the fun and creative part..! So yeah bag seed CAN be advantageous if it's good seed, just have to experiment..strains are gettgin so mixed now that there are HARDLY any pure strains left.. so old bag seed MAY contain some of these obsolete strains... WHO KNOWS???

A good rule is if your bag seed comes from good pot then it is alot more likely grow good pot becasue of the good genetics but if u get seeds from a bag of shitty bud then your more than likely gonna end up with shitty bud. This is not always the case though if the weed was grown very bad that could be why its shitty pot and you could have success with it.

It is true but how often are you going to get nice weed and have seeds in it...:blsmoke:

If you're growing from seeds you have saved over the years that would be the most fun. If you are planning on buying a mix of seeds from a seed bank its well, hit or miss.

yah same with me i grew kush bag seed outdoor last year and it turned out really good i ended up with 3 plants started in june and yeilded a qp from them

Right now I got 6 hopefully ladys of bagseed and they are all different one is growing way bigger then the others, one has huge leaves others are small. Kinda interesting in the smoke.

yes but if you do have some excellent mersh with seeds imagine it if the females had used that energy for tricome production.. so good weed with seeds sounds like it could be a winner. Now to start buying green with seeds. cheaper.. guess I'll start rolling mersh blunts again.:blsmoke:

I don't have enough experience to say for certain but i would think the plant from bag seed would at least be similar to what you're smoking. A breeder wouldn't want to mess with unknown strain but i don't think it would concern your average grower.

I would think bag seed may be more prone to hermie - i say that cause chances are good that's how it ended up in the bag anyway - but again - i know of no conclusive tests or credible evidence to say for certain.

so in this instance you may want to rely on the old adage - you get what you pay for maybe?

sorry - seem to be talking in circles -- time to burn and see what happens....

OK,,,,,,first time growers bagseed is the way to go....I feel u only get those seed from banks so u'll know what ur growing and have a better idea when it should finish...i feel growing bagseed makes u a better grower because u dont have other known strains to compare to. U have to learn all the signs in order to create a great harvest. If u dont have the cash for seedbanks then fuck it...i've grown some funky ass weed from some schwagg bags.

Im on my first grow,6 plants all bag seeds..."from dank nuggets" i wont smoke nothing with seeds..i guess u could say im a pot snob. i have 6 females that r all starting to bud!..check it out in my sig. im a few weeks into flowering!

its cool if you want to grow a few bag seeds, but if your growing like 16 plants at the same time from bag seed then the canapy of your garden is going to be off. you kinda want a evey layer.

im growing a bagseed right know and its fun trying figure out what it is.

just try it and see if you like it, plus its free, right?:mrgreen:

my last grow was from bag seed. had to harvest a little early but it was pretty good smoke. the buzz was comparable to higher priced stuff that i would buy. although ordering some kick ass genetics would grow you some killer bud.
