How do you like YOUR bud trimmed?

Hey all! Just was wondering how everyone likes their bud to be trimmed....I feel this can be a personal preference.

I like to trim my buds with some of the crystal coated leaf still on it, just trimming the very end of the leaf, so it lays over the bud to some extent....as long as it is crystally!

I am about to try trimming a little closer, and also try out a curing rack on some of my harvest, also. I usually go from drying on a line, to going into jars for curing.

Some of my friends trim all the way down, to where there is nothing left but the calyxes, but I think sometimes that is not as visually pleasing.....

Personally when i smoke it i trim all the leaves off and save em to make BHO or hash sometime. prefer not to smoke leaves.

of the pics you posted, i wouldnt let a bud leave my house ooking like any of those. however the third nug looks super dank although it is hard to see bud under all that leaf

I prefer a lot less leaf than pictured. The pictures look pretty but leaves burn too hot. If vaping, it would be alright.

i agree. .. i like my buds with much less leaf than whats pictured.. i would take that all of and make some budder with that golden stuff.. looks dank, but wayyy too leafy for my tastes.

Hey dude, i am actually finding my way in this with my first grow. For this plant im harvesting now (2 more on the way) im gonna do like you do. Dont see why waist prefectly good smokable frosty Guess its ok to make hash out of it, but you probably lose some of the material on the way...

if im not making hash or selling the buds i leave all the leaves with thc on them but if not i cut them all off

if you wait to trim until the buds are dried, the crispy leafage will come right off, no scissors needed and it looks much better than if you trim wet.

Thanks everyone for the posts! I appreciate hearing everyone's opinion on this! I want to present the most beautiful nugs in a great way, so I will hopefully post some pics after this harvest.....I am going to go brazilian on these girls.....no trim on them.

hey rzza how much leaf do you take off befor drying?? Ive alway trimmed it totally when wet.

I trim mine when it is wet and then dry. Leaf just does not taste right to me and so it gets removed, at least as much as I can get at.

Yeah, that is a hair. I took the pic on my couch arm. Just snapping a pic of my head stash. I appreciate the input on the "shaved like a sexy pussy", but pointing out the hair........priceless.

My own, homegrown stash looks alot like the nugs you been presenting man, but if I bought those for streetprice I'd be well pissed off. I like the taste of a little bit of leaf on my buds.

Me, too. I like the look a little more myself. That pic is of Blueberry Widow, with the hair on it, from my personal stash. I can tell you one thing, my patients all wanted Blueberry Widow after smoking it, smelling it, and showing it off to other patients. Definitely one of my favorite strains, even with some leaf left on or not.

That is the reason I wanted to start this thread, though! I wanted to hear, unfettered opinions, from experienced smokers. And for the most part, people seem to be saying they like it trimmed, basically showing just calyxes. If you disagree, chime in! I am going to try 2-3 different trimming methods this next time, to do a "pepsi taste test" and see how it all shakes out.

Any leaf left on the bud should be 100% trichome covered. The 3rd one is fine with me simply for that reason, the 2nd I wouldnt send out.
