Depends... do you live a vegan lifestyle, or just have a vegan diet? If it's the latter, and you're not eating the pot, I don't see a problem.

The idea is to not eat, drink, or smoke anything with a face....
I dont like the idea of using things that are dead in my grows... like fish or bone...
Guano's will do a better job at providing available nutrients than bone meal..
Now the problem is that its hard to know how or what a guy used to grow the stuff your smoking unless your growing it yourself...
So i wouldnt be too difficult on the whole thing...
Just make sure that if you grow, u dont use anything you dont believe in.... Grow with your heart... and not with your mind.. Your mind is what is thinking "oooooo That high Phosphorus bone meal sounds lovely for my plants, The taste and weight should be great"
The taste and weight will be great if you put your heart into it... thats pretty much it...

So dont worry about it, You probably smoked a whole lot of hydro grown chemical weed, without even realizing it... just like everyone...

Take it easy:)

Vegan? If the planet didn't reuse dead material (including animals) it wouldn't be sustainable. Most vegans I know eat organic vegetables. Every single small scale organic farm I've worked on uses decomposing organic matter as a nutrient source of which you will always have dead animals in - plant matter cannot be mineralized and thus made available to plants without the help of these living (and constantly dying) organisms.

/e half of the bat guano out there is the remains of dead insects - they have faces I am pretty sure. And think of all of the microorganisms that were living on the kelp used to make kelp meal - they were all killed or at least had their homes stripped from them.

It's all about growing in sterile diatomaceous earth with zero ppm water. (oh wait, diatoms were once alive too, shit!)

I grow in 100% human ashes.

vegan and vegetarian isn't the same thing.

Vegetarian diets usually mean the person eats mostly vegetables, but also may eat eggs from time to time, white meat like fish and chicken.... it's a diet.

vegan is a way of life. they do not eat meat, and don't get close to anything resembling meat. vegans have a closer relationship with their food b/c of their selectiveness with the preperation, and presentation.. if a vegan dish is served on a plate and somebody throws a piece of meat on it, it's no longer a vegan dish.... it's ridiculous in my opinion..... they require their food to be prepared in a seperate counter, a practice i believe is derived from Kosher diets, where food is seperated depending on where they're from... since it's such a way of life thing for vegans, such a personal thing, i don't think they should smoke weed fertilized with fish or bone...

but how can you know?? another problem with this prohibition is that clients have little control or choice when it comes to what weed they'll buy......

I can almost understand the thought behind not wanting an animal to die so you can eat (Almost, I'm a huge carnivore) but if a vegan thinks a dead animal shouldn't produce fertilizer, where are all the animals that ever die EVER supposed to go? It's like some vegans think if human weren't around everything on the planet would be immortal.

umm... not to get too picayune about the subject but Guano is derived from bat droppings. Bats that eat other living things and then shit out the unwanted parts. What's the difference between that and bone meal or fish meal? They're all made from dead animals. :: shrug ::

I understand it and I could definitely live that way but it's hard because I am always around a lot of meat eaters. I don't like the idea of drinking milk or impregnating cows to get milk and for every pregnant cow, obviously there is a calf, where will the calf go? It ends up causing needless breeding just to get milk. Eggs aren't as bad because they don't need to be fertilized, most eggs ar fertilized which bothers me. Slaughterhouese bother me too, I think an animal should have a certain quality of life and die a certain way. I am like a jewish rabbi or something lol. I don't like different meats being mixed together, I've always been weird about this but I am not jewish nor was I raised by a rabbi. If I were a vegetarian, I definitely wouldn't want my food prepared on the same grill or have meat touch my plate. That defeats the purpose of being vegetarian. I do go to vegan restaurants in my area and they are not all reminiscent of that "way of thinking". Some are dumpy and depressing. I hate when people make it out like vegans are some kind of super-human with a better outlook on life. They aren't & they can kiss it - maybe that is against the rules?

Anything can be taken to an extreme. I understand vegetarianism, although I do not practice it myself. But vegans...they're a different lot. Beyond a diet or even a lifestyle, it is a cause to those folks, like PETA.

having sisters that are vegan i can relate. my teeth are designed to eat many things, meat being one of them. no reason my plants should not get the same joy. i try to liquefy steaks sometimes for my plants. they have really responded well to the extra iron.........kinda odd, but the flowers are developing teeth now too.....what to do.??????

Fossil fuels? FOSSIL fuels?! I should hope they don't. Burning a bunch of dead animals doesn't sound very vegan. And tires? Those are from fossil fuels as well. It might as well be leather wrapped around those hubs!

I should hope they don't wear shoes either other than those made from hemp grown in sterile soil that was never fertilized. Make sure it was brought to the store on the back of a donkey as well, other people burning animals to power their cars to get you your shoes can't be very vegan. Can vegans put animals to work though?
